For the sake of £5! Is it worth fuel and your time?

I just spent 99 pounds. I wonder if I can take the item back and then re-buy it after having seen this.

last time, I didn't notice that the vouchers have an expiry date. So couldn't get money off. So be sure to use them before the 23rd of February (in this case, apparently)

You'd be amazed at some of the logic on here... Time for many appears to be worthless.

You're not giving them much credit. At the other end of the spectrum, its surely reasonable to assume that they would bump the transaction up to get the £10 voucher and that they wouldn't be making a special trip to do it. Returning one item and repurchasing in one visit if you are near the Argos anyway might be worth £10 of Argos goods.

They'd have to spend an extra pound they didn't plan on spending though. And then its finding something for a pound, maybe a chocolate bar?
Still if there not local its a faf on, and more of a faf on returning and re-buying.
So 'if' they find something for a pound its still only a £9 voucher lol

I said £10 worth of Argos goods. I fully of course agree they would also have spent an extra pound or two to get that. I wouldn't bother (and clearly you wouldn't either!) but its not ridiculous for someone else to consider doing it!
The ridiculous bit might be shopping in Argos in the first place

£100 on a gift voucher.
Nationwide offer of 8% off + £10 voucher = £18
cost £82
?

100-8=92, so costs £92 then you get a £10 voucher for next spend. It sort of equals £82. :P

There are flats right next to our Argos, if the guy lived in there I'd say so.

I went to Argos as I needed to pick up the item and was v close by to a store anyway. The team there said to contact customer services....so no need to even return to the store, but let's see. I paid with a gift card thru TCB too.
