Amazon fire tv/stick gaming controller scanning at £9.97 in PC World.
Cannot find the Controller on the PC world website. Usually around the £35-£40 mark.
Grabbed one today as they are so cheap. Worth checking your local store if you are after one.
Hope this helps.

Ok seems as though I was mis-informed by phoning pc world direct. Just popped into my local, none there but the system is showing one in Wimbledon and Taunton should be of use to anyone else.

Out of curiosity, what method did you use to check stock? I might have been misled after all when I phoned PC world direct...

That's brilliant thank you. I eventually did get PC world to track down that very same product code on the phone, as asked the chap if he could phone the Bexhill stores to find out. They confirmed they had lots at xmas and last few went (probably after your post  ). I was told the bexhill store did a search for it nationwide and that none popped up.
So seeing the same code from you gives me confidence that they did really check for the correct item.
I'm adding heat for your awesome reply and for those that may have managed to find one like yourself. Really appreciated the great detail.

You know what else you can run on Fire?
Moonlight.
This is free, already on the Amazon app store, and lets you stream across your home network if you have an nVidia card.
That's an open door to run Steam big picture via in home streaming on Amazon using a native app with no sideloading.
Pretty good, right?

Hello mate, its very easy to do plenty youtube tutorials out there as well.
What you need to do is download from the amazon firestick app store an app called
ES File Explorer
Then within that app navigate to the google browser and search Snes9x EX download then install.
Anything you download is at your own risk of coarse. You are better searching on youtube thats all i did.
its the same way using this method to get software called KODI on it which is used for films etc.
cheers.

Hi Wozza, have you got a larger photo with the product code or could you write the details? I've tried phoning and all they seem to have is a madcatz one for online orders online.
Many thanks

So still fine for those with the 1st gen then, of which there are probably hundreds of thousands.
Kinda wish I was passing a Currys/PC World as I would be checking this out. Nearest one is a 20+ mile round trip so kinda cancels out the good deal when fuel costs/time are factored in. :disappointed:

The problem is (as least with my local Currys/PC World) is that you *may* highlight the fact that's it's cheap and when you arrive to collect your so-called 'reservation', it's mysteriously 'disappeared'.
Me cynical? No.

Amazon now refer to this as the "1st generation 2014 version" so I guess there is a new one inbound!

There already is a second gen out. Been out since October last year at same time as new 4K box.

I got the xiaomi one off banggood.com not so long ago when they were on offer for around this price. Usually about £15 tho. Good quality & works a treat. This is a very good deal though if it's nationwide! Heat

Do you have a six digit product code? Thanks

You say that, but calling often just tips off the staff who then grab them, so it's even more annoying to be told they have them in stock when you call and then turn up to find they've been ninja'd.
