Just have a look on XDA-developers and don't let it update when you get it, flash fire makes it easy to do though.

NO! Fire is not Android, useless

Depends...would you get an Amazon Fire for a young child? After weighing up pros and cons, got a HP G2 for my boy, as it seemed more appropriate with full Android AppStore. Btw, all tablets in this price range have meagre sound and a low battery life. You pays your money....etc.

Well specced but its a 7" not 8". The extra inch makes a tablet a lot more usable.

Thank you, this does look good. To be honest I didn't want to spend too much because she's only five but loves to watch cartoons and movies on it, and loves playing games on my iPad so I need something that can do this for her. My friend has told me about this deal, not too expensive either.
Thanks you for your help.

I was looking at this deal for my daughter but seems there are better deals out there for a more quality item? Can anyone suggest a great tablet? Thanks.

Depends on your 'Price Bracket' really?.
But the one that AS9795 suggested above your own initial comment? (namely this one):
Buy Lenovo Tab 2 A7 7 Inch 8GB Wi-Fi Tablet - Blue at Argos.co.uk - Your Online Shop for Tablets.
This one is much better for £60, I bought one in blue last week for my partner and he loves it - he's a tech man so he's very picky about tablets! Great sound as its Dolby, runs any high quality game without lag and can insert an micro SD Card to increase the storage! Not sure about stock but it can be purchased in black, blue or purple!

I bought one of these for the mother in law at Christmas. You need to install a speaker boost app for sound - it is not really listenable to without this if you intend to use it without headphones. There is plenty around.
The tablet is a bit flakey - although screen is nice and big. It does crash quite frequently. Battery life sucks - and seems to vary. I also have a the Amazon Fire 7 - personally I would go for this - better battery - though smaller screen. You can put Google play store on the Amazon tablet quite easily and get around the silly advertising screens - just google it.
