Seeing this reminds me of being a kid and the snobbery around footballs.
If you had a football it had to be "a casey" - meaning leather cased.
So my parents relented and I got me a "casey" after being berated by other kids for my cr*ppy plastic balls - only it wasn't the right "casey" then was it? Not the right design or the wrong year or some other crap. I never really understood - it's a football FFS!
