50 Duracell industrial batteries delivered for 11.98 makes them around 25p each. Kid goes through them so quickly, this seems like a good deal to me but if there is a better deal to be had please point it out as either way it's win win for me

- Agree with the above comment for most rechargeable batteries however:
- Panasonic Eneloop's are slow-discharge rechargeable batteries - working well in low, medium & moderately high current drawing devices.
- Panasonic Eneloop Pro's are designed for high drain - having a smaller number of recharge cycles. i.e 500 v 2100.
- Panasonic Eneloop AA: (£12.49 for x8) - £1.56 per battery.
- Charged with a reliable inexpensive slow or intelligent battery charger at 200mA or 300mA they last ages.
- Claimed rechargeable cycles 2100.
- Assuming 1000 recharge cycles 156 / 1000 = 0.156p per charge cycle (excluding charging electricity).
- Or 500 recharge cycles 156/500 = 0.312p per charge cycle (excluding charging electricity).
- Versus 25p for a fully charged disposable Alkaline.
- Less environmental pollution, less toxic waste, far cheaper.

Fair point. However note that many low current drawing devices recommend non-rechargeable batteries
