Right now I am using a mixture of the Wukong remote (used as a mouse for showbox selections) the Fire TV app (for typing) and the remote that came with it.

I got the M8S version a couple of weeks ago and for £35 was a fantastic purchase. And there are plenty of youtube videos to get you started on how to add apps or (repos) for kodi.

I have this, works very well and good for the price. Think it is pretty much the cheapest android box you can get for Kodi. I only use it for Kodi, playback is flawless with everything I've tried, scrolling in cover flow is mostly very smooth. It's a very cheap and easy to set up way of getting Kodi going.
The build quality is obviously a bit cheap and the remote you get with it is crap, but I prefer to use my phone with Yatse or the official remote app anyway.
I was tempted to go for a Minix Neo U1 but went for the cheap option in the end. Can't say I regret it but it's something to think about, the build quality and speed of the U1 is quite a bit better than this box but there's not much in it in terms of playback.

there are lots of these on Ebay from UK sellers for less than £7.50 delivered.
I would be looking for one with a UK layout though. Lots of them are USA layout with the pound sign missing and other keys in unusual locations.
If using with a media pc or a windows tablet this could be problematic.

I have one of these, it feels a little cheap but it works well with my Raspberry Pi 2 and i payed £9.99 for it a few month back, worth this price.
Was looking at getting this, and was wondering if anybody who has bought an android box, has any advice for me, would be really appreciated

Do these work well under Amazons Fire TV or windows? Mums looking to replace the TV package but I reckon an old PC with something like this this to control it to watch online TV is a better solution :stuck_out_tongue:

They work OK with the Fire TV Box but you can not use them with the stick as there isn't a USB port to plug the dongle into.
