Possibly yes. The rear ports are USB 3.0 so should be 900mA each. Worth a try?

Thanks for the suggestion. My whole point of buying this portable drive though, was to avoid the clutter of a separately powered drive. From memory the XB1 had 2 rear USB ports? If this is the case and the other port us also free, do you think a Y splitter plugged into both ports would work?

I wasn't doubting you at all. Intenso is just a badge.
(It would be a German sounding badge if the Germans had any cred in 'puter hardware.
Typing of marketing badges, the one that gets me is the range of power tools in parts of Europe called..
..fanfare: KevinLine ....wtf?? ).

Well, that's going from a deal I got this from last year (comments) and there's a youtube video that shows it. But I guess they could've changed supplier.

As above, there's a lot to be said for using a decent cable. I've almost been caught out before, thinking it was the drive when it wasn't.
These have a Samsung HDD inside which isn't difficult to remove and they cost more to buy than this on their own.

Lucky you. Mine isn't to hand but IIRC it has a Seagate drive behind that 'cover-all-makes' case :disappointed:

Cold!
Reason? I paid this price about 18 months ago at eBuyer!
They are a good drive but have been about this price for a good 18 months which is why I did not post the deal when it came through, It is just the regular price.

I'm sure this drive is the cause of my XB1 regularly freezing.
God price, but just something to bear in mind for anyone considering it for that purpose.

Ironically I was about to ask 'anyone' as to if these things were like any good in the first place or something?, then .....
Thanx for that heads up still, hmmmmmmm.
Bought an Android Tablet from same Brand some years back, wasn't fit for purpose, & ..... (came with only Android 1.9 at the time, even though at that then point in time 'FLASH' was only being supported from Android 2.1 going?, so ..... ) bare that in mind too.

Make sure you are using a decent usb power adapter and 'y splitter' cable with this hard drive, power from a USB port alone does not seem to be enough. I had constant issues with my Samsung TV and this HDD until I used an iPad charger with it.
