That should reduce their sales even further driving them into the ground that little bit more and its about time too

Tesco kingsize duvet is £4.75, just select under £5 on the left hand side of the screen. Great price albeit the £2 collection charge is a bit of a swizz, alternatively if you spend £30 collection is free.

Thanks OP! I've been meaning to replace the kids duvets for a while now. Even with the collection charge £7.50 for 2 single duvets is a bargain! Plus the reviews look great =-)

I can't see any double anti-allergy duvet which has been marked down from £15 to £3.75 - the one for £3.75 was originally priced at £8.50 (on the up to 40% off offer) - the one you mention has a 75% decrease in price. I'd like to order two on-line, but think that I might end up being sent the basic ones which I do not want.

you need to add £2 to the cost as tesco are now charging £2 for collection when order value is like less than £30

Just googled the 'sleep' range (which you said it was in the first line of the description) by Tesco. It came up with this:-
'Part of the Value range, this double duvet provides comfort all year round. With a tog rating of 10.5, the duvet has a polypropylene cover with a polyester filling.'
Think there might be a bit of confusion here and on-line as the link takes you to the anti-allergy one. Are you definitely sure it is 'sleep' by Tesco 10.5 tog duvet greatly reduced"? I'd be quite happy to get the anti-allergy one with a microfibre cover but don't really want the sleep/basic one as the cover is not that great on it. Thank you.

I was getting this message when I was going to Tesco Direct via Google Chrome. However, I tried going through Internet Explorer instead, and it said that they were in stock - so I ordered two double ones (went back to Google Chrome and still saying out of stock).

It makes me laugh when I see comments about the £2 collection charge, like the OP had something to do with it! Think about it, your getting something next to nothing !! How people want everything or nothing #JustSaying

People know the collection charge has nothing to do with the OP but it does need to be in the title as Click & Collect is no longer free unless you spend over £30, no need to be a smart @rse about it! #JustSaying

Nah, it will have opposite effect. Profit will be increased by not having to accept low-value orders that do not provide sufficient margin to otherwise cover the courier and admin costs, and/or it will encourage purchases over £30 which may not have previously been considered by the buyer, so providing better and more importantly additional margin. Some highly paid / intelligent (?) marketing and accountancy experts will have crunched the figures and looked at other models such as John Lewis who recently introduced similar £2 charge if below £30 MoQ. Tesco and JL clearly believe the positives outweigh the negatives.

Except the times where I've collected a direct order and spent (a lot) more in the store attached. Now I simply wont go to the store and spend elsewhere...
AndyRoyd
23 Feb 16#39
That is not the only potential negative impact for the retailer, but as previously stated: Tesco and JL clearly believe the positives outweigh the negatives.

Fair point. However, Tesco haven't got a clue hence why they're struggling.

Why does it need to be in the title? The OP posted an in store deal, yes it has also been found online where the click and collect charge applies, but it is also in store with no charges other than those the OP mentioned.

It's a Tesco Direct deal plus it is a duplicate post.

23 Feb 16#45
Have you not read the deal description? Specifically this part:
Quite obvious to me that the OP found this IN STORE and posted it as an in store deal. The fact it is also online is nice for those with delivery saver, but not what the OP posted, hence no mention of delivery is needed in the title, and no mod has come in and changed it.
You could argue that for clarity it could do with being updated to specify in store in the title as that is the deal that was posted.
Edit: Though I will agree it is a duplicate post, these additional stores checked could have been posted into the other in store deal on here.

The difference being with JL they have more of USP with customers specifically choosing them and going out of their way to use them; they have very little competitors for what they offer. Tesco on the other hand - you have many many other options.
