Responsibly sourced?
Perhaps. But I know they catch their N Atlantic cod & prawns...ship them to China. Thailand for processing' then ship them back to UK to sell!
And they don't pass on the savings to us!

Perhaps that is why most fish from fish n chip shops is tasteless. Don't have it often and that's why.

Ok, it says formed.
You can have re-formed almost any protein. Best case its whole pieces pressed together. Worst case its mechanically recovered mush glued together.

Cheers compadre ive just filleted a load of cod today that's why I wondered, probably the offcuts formed into a pretend fillet.
Dont understand how the fish can only be half of the total?
Surely the other half isnt batter?

Clever eh? Plus what they use to glue it together.
Look at any processed food like this, esp battered fish and its usually the same ratio, apart from scampi, they've managed to get that down to 30%ish.

Heat added. Good price and a decent enough product to have in the freezer for those emergency meals during the week when you just can't be bothered. Cod or Haddock seem the best, that pollack or whatever it is they dredge up from the ocean floor is just rank bad.
