Except its not like that at all. SDS not exactly essential for people using a drill once in a blue moon. Whilst it's a feature important to you it may not be to others only looking to spend £12 on a drill.

I refuse to buy pointless DIY kit. It's like buying a plane ticket and only taxi-ing on the run way. No LIFT OFF

Homebase also have a Homebase branded drill which is 500w called Powerbase and is not listed on their website but there may be some in stores at less than £8. After handling both drills the powerbase drill was lighter and runs more smoothly than the xtreme.

710 watts- It was powerful enough to go through brickwork fairly easily. Hot-Good deal at this price - I paid £24.

Would i need to buy drill bits separately or does it come with some? Sorry i know very little about drills

One of the pictures shows drill bits with it, but only three for masonry.
Depends what you need, may be worth buying a kit that has a few types and sizes (masonry/wood/hss) if you are starting from scratch.

mine came with 3 token masonry bits that will help put a few shelves up but aren't going to last. Can't complain at this price though.
Great deal

Would this drill do the job for laying flooring in the roofspace? Thx

If you mean flooring a loft then I would suggest a drill driver (think they're also called impact drivers) which give the screws a shove whilst they're being driven in to the wood.

I've got one of these drills and I do a lot of metalwork, drilling stainless etc it's taken an absolute battering and the motor still goes.

I wouldn't want to pay to hire one, and some people would be reluctant to lend theirs....I only use a drill about once a year at the moment, so bought a drill at a boot fair for £8 in the Summer then went to use it recently and it's out of alignment when the chuck spins. luckily the hole I was making didn't need to look pretty, but this is going to replace it, so thank you OP.
