Interesting to read the review having already got the Note 2. Seems the basic processor is the same but some things are better in the note 3 and others in the note 2.
Note 3 pros
Metal Back (premium feel)
3GB ROM
Fingerprint reader
Note 2 pros
Ability to replace battery
Ability to add memory via microSD
The Note 2 is definitely available with google apps on but the review suggests the note 3 doesn't come with them - perhaps the OP can confirm? The note 2 is well supported on the EU MIUI forums but I would suspect the note 3 will still be building up momentum at this time.
Interesting stuff. I'll not be chopping in my note 2 but that's a good price for the handset.

Have a visit to the xiaomi.eu forums. They do a weekly ROM which meets your needs, and can be downloaded and installed using the update app on your handset.
Note 2 prime gets thumbs up here too, replaceable battery and sd
Best of all, " xiaomi eu" do a Rom which is updated weekly with no Chinese bloat at all

Avoid GearBest like the plague. They are a terrible and dodgy company, just need to sift through the hundreds of fake reviews online or really experience their dark side to realise that. Just as well they don't know who I am otherwise were they to see my comments they'd ban me from their site lol not that I want to use it anyway.
Xiaomi though they're a much better company. Shame you have to deal with parasites like gear best to get a good price on their phones.

Bought a faulty tablet from them, they will ask you for photographic and video evidence of the fault, how can you prove that your tablet keeps crashing through photos? And you cant send video evidence because you cant upload a large enough file to show the fault, and their response after 2 weeks of paypal dispute $19.99 refund on a $99.99 purchase

I have bought 4 items from Banggood and not had any problems with them, only when it gets into this country. I bought a phone for my wife from Banggood and it took 3 days to get from China to the UK, then a further 37 working days to get to me. It came into the UK to a place called HWDC, hwdc langley butterworth, and there it stayed for over a month! When I eventually go it it by Royal Mail, there were no extra charges at all, as Banggood had said the value was only 23.71USD.
So that gives you an indication of how good they are.

Only let down is no SD slot, it's a shame Xiaomi decided to copy Apple in that regard (they modelled their whole business after Apple).
I was wondering how the Helio X10 with Power VR G6200 compares to the Snapdragon 810 with Adreno 430? Other than not bursting into flames

I have not had much luck with Gearbest, ordered this very phone on Dec 13th.
As of today the order is still 'processing' and they told me by email that it would be another 2 weeks before they send it out. Cancelled the order and will wait till it shows up on Amazon.
Hot for the phone, but COLD for the seller.

Unless you buy from the EU warehouse, I'd definitely expect 5weeks for delivery. Mine took around that mark. But to save £££s over a similar/lesser spec'd high branded set, it was well worth the wait.

Have to say its a pretty great wee phone.
Had mines from the start of december. Nice weight to it, build is pretty good as well, the top bits are plastic tho not metal just the centre back is metal.
Plays every game i have threw at it with ease, the camera is not to bad, not iPhone ask but not bad, with enough light it can take some pretty amazing shots.
Battery life is bloody amazing. Lasts me 2 full days of moderate use, answering calls and texts, a little instagram and spotify with bluetooth pretty much always on. Last time i had this sort of stopping power it was a nokia lol
Got mines from seller on eBay, payed the dhl delivery and ended up paying £185 and it came with a glass screen protector and a silicon case. So seeing the phone at this price.
Worth the wait. I was just impatient. Don't regret it

This is what I did for the redmi note 2, no idea for the 3 im afraid!
I just downloaded straight to phones internal memory and used the updater app... Hope it helps:
I choose the redmi note 2 over the 3 due to having access to battery and the SD card slot, tested with a 64gb card and is working perfectly. I purchased from Gearbest arrived after about 10 days but I paid for dhl shipping and got vat hit but I needed a phone asap so didnt mind.
Overall am extremely pleased with the xiaomi will definitely be looking forward to the Mi5 when it's released.

Hi thanks for all the help with getting rid of bloatware. Is the only thing I need to do then is just replace mui6 with mui7? and put GAPPS on as well Do I need to delete factory reset or does mui7 replace/remove software on their ? onnce again thanks I am not very comptuter literae so if some kind soul could do it in steps a b c etc that would be great

30 Dec 151#47
Just do as the video, you don't have to factory reset or anything. If you need to save your stuff please back them up as unsure if it does a clean wipe prior to updating as I did it straight out of the box when I got the phone.
That update will do everything will replace it with the weekly update and miui7 and install Gapps as well. I know there maybe other builds which might be tweaked so are quicker and perform better battery life but I'm happy with what xiaomi provide for us at the moment.

Has someone from the group received an order from this site?
Monday I paid with Paypal. First they wanted my identity card , I refused, finally the idea of Paypal it's just this.
Second the number of the transaction , I gave it to them as confirmation that it's me.
And I receive this:
"We are sorry that we cannot accept this transaction via credit card. If you like the items, please replace the order and pay via western union.
Then we will cancel the order and issue you a refund. Please check your account later.
Please note: For credit card refund may take up to 10-15 days to process and appear in your account.
The exact length of time is dependent on your card issuing bank. Please check your account for more details.

Liked the look of the phone, but didn't fancy Gearbest. Ordered it via Amazon Prime for £185. Some mightn't think it a bargain at that price, but I'm pleased with it. And it worked straight out of the box with Google Play store already installed
