This seems like an excellent price for a well reviewed cheap fitness tracker.
Highlights:
- Heart rate monitor: 1S with optical heart rate sensor, shows you heart rate with PPG, you can see the results more intuitively.
- 30 days standby time: Top-level Bluetooth chip and military gravity sensor ensure 30 days ultra-long standby time for a full charging.
- Call reminder: Mi Band 1S will tell you when a call comes, you never need to worry about missing any important calls.
- Sports tracking: Track your sports, record steps, distance and calories, help you achieve your sports target.
- Sleep monitoring: Let you know your deep sleep and shallow sleep, also APP will give you periodical evaluation, help you develop good living habits.
- Silent alarm: Wake you up every morning, will not be late for work; Remind you with vibration, never worry about missing anything.
- Free password to unlock the phone: Forget complex unlock password and gesture, simply raise your hand to close to phones, immediate and safe unlocking.
There are a few about, this one is pretty accurate.
I bought one to replace an existing original but shouldn't have bothered because as it stands the heart rate element is pretty much useless until they update the software to offer constant tracking.
Handy for sleep monitoring, notifications and the battery lasts ages - the activity tracking can be a bit hit/miss in my opinion.

Same as the last version with heart monitor, loads of opinions all over the web as well as each time it's posted on here.
I got my kids one each for christmas and they're a great hit, useful as much as anything for the alarms and notifications whist they're at school.

I've got the version without the heart monitor. I use mine mainly for the notifications too. It's nice getting some indication that your also walking and sleeping enough too.

My OH was going on about something her mum has, that appears similar to this but she said it kept a total of her calories for the day. The thing is it had no keyboard, so I'm guessing it used a phone? Wondering what the app for this can do?

Would this work well at tracking heart rate during exercise? Was thinking of this or polar heart rate monitor. I'm after something that monitors how long you spend in target heart rate zone

I've used the original version of the Mi Band and have recently acquired one of this new version. It won't take continuous heart rate readings - as another poster has said, you can only take heart rate on-demand from the associated app, and I've found it to be wildly inaccurate, or to fail to take a reading at all.
If you want accurate, continuous heart rate monitoring, I think you'll need to use one of the systems that has an associated chest band (such as the Garmin Forerunner range).

Just make sure your phone has the correct version of bluetooth and Android version it can work with. I made the mistake thinking my wife's Galaxy S3 mini would be okay. Sadly it's not, the OS is too old.

I ordered one of these from GearBest when it was on pre-order around early December, and received it early January; I also have the older version (without HR monitor) which now belongs to the misses. I'm not sure I would recommend this new version. Firstly the HR monitor will take your HR when you prompt it to, it doesn't do anything special like monitor you during the day / sleep / training session automatically, Secondly, the option to run the HR monitor is hidden away in some menu somewhere in the app, not a nice simple button on the main screen. Thirdly, and perhaps most importantly, once my phone was upgraded to the latest Android version (Marshmallow 6.0.1) it no longer connects to the Mi band rendering the band useless! I'm hoping a future Marshmallow update + Mi Fit update will get everything working again, but right now it sits on a shelf gathering dust. I think I'll invest in a band thats more compatible with Android and displays the time.

I've been really impressed with the band, well worth the price. It does do HR monitoring whilst sleeping to improve accuracy so it shouldn't be too much of an update to have it through the day also. Hopefully this is coming

Or If you don't need the heart rate tracking these are also excellent little bands for £15 http://www.gearbest.com/smart-wristband/pp_180798.html?
Two weeks battery life, OLED screen for reading messages etc.. and handily pops out the band and plugs straight into a USB charger so no little special cables to find/lose.

excellent piece of kit I had both versions. there are only 2 complaints, 1 the heart rate monitoring is pointless at the moment as you have to manually do it each time you want to do it. secondly and most importantly I keep losing the bloody device out of the band. its ok at home but I've lost 3 at work and not even realised its popped out of the band till I've got home. they need to sort a better strap.

Had the Mi band for a year. No probs and battery life is very good. The official app provides updates to the band software from time to time. I use an unofficial Windows phone app that is very good - costs a few £. The band gives a good indication of when you are active and when you are sitting about. Seems fairly accurate and the alarms you can set up are a bonus. For the price you cannot go far wrong.

I use this and had the fitbit flex before this. This is a great piece of kit for the money. bearing in mind the fitbit is about 3x as much. As mentioned above it doesnt measure your heart rate all the time only when you use the function through the app.
One thing i love about this compared to the fitbit is the battery life. Fitbit was around 3 days max with this annoying flashy green light when taken off.
This one apprently lasts for around 30 days?! Ive had mine on for over 2 week so far. So no need to keep recharging. The steps and the sleep measurements are quite accurate and it syncs easy enough when bluetooth is enabled.
A very good no frills piece of equipment.

I got the original mi fit (not the 1S with heart rate) about a year ago and it's a really good piece of tech. Sits on my wrist and survives baths, showers and even saunas. Battery lasts well over a month. App is easy to use and tracks how much you walk and sleep. Had to buy a replacement strap about 6 months ago as the original one broke but they are only a pound from China.

You may already know this but there is a 3rd party app that allows you to set a regular heart rate measurement. It's called Mi band notify v2 and although not exactly what you want it is better than nothing?

Yes its real. I purchase a scale and some Mi Bands (model 2 and model 1s) all full retail.
The old model 1 are old stock now (multi coloured LEDs)
The model 2 is the same as the model 1 but only has white LEDs
The model 1s is the HR model
replacement bands in a range of colour are under 50p del on Ali Express.
Battery life on the model 1 and 2 is around a month (Depends on how much the vibration is used) the 1s is around the same (again HR monitor usage varies) some folk report >1 month in use without charging.
Apps is good but I use the Android App from the web site not the play store.

I got one about a week back and it's alright for the money. Links with Google Fit but does mess up the calcs a bit for inactive calories and I think it overestimates steps a bit but it does give consistent readings. The best bit is the sleep tracking which seems pretty accurate and with this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mc.miband1&hl=en the paid version gives you much better HR tracking and recording. I was after a Garmin Vivosmart HR but I think this does the job for now and I can still wear a watch with it without looking like I am wearing two watches. Battery life seems good also after 2 days since I last charged it I have 90% left, when I first had it I mucked around with settings and stuff a lot so I did drain it a bit faster.
Edit: I forgot to add apart from the odd crazy heart rate reading the readings report exactly in line with my Garmin Edge 500 HR readings both during exercise and when resting.

Unfortunately, the app you mention won't let me purchase the pro features and before I contact the developer, could you just clarify a couple of things for me please? One is how much does the pro version cost and two you say the HR recording is much better using this app, could you explain in what way(s) - does it allow for continuous reading for example? Many thanks.

The pro version was £1.24 I think probably $2 converted. I just unlocked it from the heart rate section of the app. It allows for monitoring every 30 seconds up to several hours and exporting to google fit. I have it running every 15 mins at night currently I did have it at 1 minute intervals but my readings were pretty much constant throughout the night. I will try and get some screen grabs up.
