Unless things have changed in the past few months, XFX don't handle the warranty directly, you have to go via the retailer. Some retailers are ok, others not so much, and it just adds an extra delay. However, the XFX is a solid PSU so it is unlikely you'd ever have to use the warranty.

what is the issue with the XFX warranty? Still waiting for mine to arrive...

Both the EVGA G2 and XFX XTR are solid PSUs, both have been reviewed at jonnyguru and received very high scores. However, the XFX warranty isn't great outside of USA and the G2 comes with a 10 year warranty (make sure you register).
Also note, 750W is overkill for most systems unless you have a SLI or Crossfire setup. 600W is more than adequate for most single GPU systems, and in a lot of cases even 400-500W is fine.

Thanks.
Just wondering if I'll actually notice any difference. My rig is gtx980/ i7 6770 and current PSU is a fairy low end cooler master 650w bronze. Things seem to be running OK, would I likely notice any difference upgrading to one of these?

If everything is running fine then the only difference you'd notice upgrading your PSU would be slightly cheaper electricity bills (going from bronze efficiency to gold). As long as your PSU isn't super low end then I'd stick with it, you can check for reviews on jonnyguru or their forums.

The Supernova is better but more expensive. Plus its been out of stock at Argos for some time so you're looking at £90 from Amazon.

Which is better between this and the Supernova?

Both these PSU's have great oem's but i think Seasonic are the better PSU the EVGA is a Superflower unit i read a review on one ages back. When it comes to choosing this or the EVGA check the warranties. My issue with the XfX is their warranty on graphics cards isn't worth the paper it written on, in the gpu market they are not very highly regarded and i would always wonder that if my PSU went tits up would i have to jump through hoops and ship the PSU half way round the world for a repair. I did have a lower wattage XfX PSU a few years back and it developed a annoying noise from the fan after only a few months luckily it was in first year warranty so went back to ebuyer who returned it to me with no fault found and that has left a nasty taste in my mouth when it comes to their PSU's, after that i put the PSU in a box and thats where it still sits. I replaced it with a 650w Coolermater and have had no issues since, so even though i think the Seasonic are better built if i had to have 1 of these it would be EVGA as their aftersales are some of the best in the business. I have to point out that if it were me i wouldn't buy either id buy the 1000w Coolermater from the other day also a Seasonic unit from their top series of PSU's.

I'm pretty sure this, like the EVGA G2 is a rebadged Superflower PSU. Which is one of the best PSUs on the market.

The XTR is based on the Seasonic G 750 but with an improved fan. The Seasonic is one of their high end ones and seems to retail around £100.

Unfortunately for £5 more you can buy the excellent Supernova G2 750w from Argos.
