Seems to be the cheapest price available from a major retailer currently.

Anyone tried a official Xbox one media remote with this in Windows 10? I have the dongle for streaming games but would be great if I could control Windows and Kodi with the remote. I use my iPad at the moment with splashtop which is ok.

got 2 of these pre Christmas and they work great. even better when the controllers have been upgraded. Upgrading also stopped my controllers disconnecting from my Xbox as well. find these more reliable than my old 360 ones.

My Day One XBone is practically unplayable wireless, got 10x worse with that last update
Using the controller with play and charge usb is very loose and unstable. I have to take the batteries out of the controller and pull back & hold the cable, in my hand along the the controller.
My other New controller is worse.

Thanks OP bought. Making the switch to PC gaming (well trying to) as games tend to drop quicker in price and have no backwards compatibility issues.

I also have this irritating issue, do these work in the Xbox one? Random thing to ask I know but one of these adapters cud eradicate the disconnecting due to interference issue if they work.

Yep definitely does. I was actually tempted to buy a second X1 controller so I didn't have to get up and sync it  I'm about 6ft and the box is placed in a way I need a chair to reach it so it's a hassle :smirk:

****. Of course I went and bought one for £20 instore on New Years Eve! Ah well. Yeah they did, although I ended up selling it on to my brother as it didn't work on WIndows 8.1 at the time however :stuck_out_tongue:
I believe it was only ever an online deal - the website mentions 20% discount on accessories online only.

Been waiting for this to drop a bit! I've found micro USB cables are far too fragile for prolonged use in this way.

I gave up on mine as you have to plug a cable into the controller once it has gone into sleep mode. defeats the whole point in having one imo unless someone knows another way round it?

Yes. i believe it supports 8 controllers at once actually, or two with full audio/headset use.

I genuinely don't remember having to resync mine when I had a mate round for 2 player FIFA on the console itself. I'll have to double check, especially as the poster above says the same as the MS site, so I'd be inclined to think I'm wrong

Thanks for the post!
I will mostly be using for streaming when the misses is hogging the tv! At the moment it's not too much of an issue, though I was thinking ahead for when we move and what options are available of using this upstairs reliably. Guess I'm best waiting for that moment...
The Xbox site (http://support.xbox.com/en-GB/xbox-on-windows/accessories/connect-xbox-one-controller-to-pc) seems to suggest when plugging the controller into the PC it will need re-syncing afterwards, though I might just test this and see if that is the case!

2 Jan 16#8
Yeah you have to re-sync the controller each time you want to use it again on your xbox which is pain but I bought another controller so I can play the Lego games on the sofa with my girlfriend which works fantastically

Nope. I have mine paired up with my Windows 10 PC, and it still works directly from the Xbox One with no issues whatsoever. Great bit of kit and the streaming from my PC is perfect.

Are you using it for XBOX One streaming or PC gaming? If it's the former, you might be able to save your cash depending on how far away your PC and XBOX One are. Might help that I'm in a new build house and the walls are made of paper mache, but I can still use my spare XBOX One wireless pad synced to the console itself, while upstairs.
Alternatively, you can plug a wireless XB One controller into the PC via a standard micro usb cable, and it preserves the sync to the console (for PC or streaming use).
If you've got brick walls, leaving the pad synced to the XB One might not work but I'd suggest trying it first.
