I missed out on the first batch Game Stop had at this price and noticed they were back in stock this morning. Cheapest I have seen it without having to buy it from outside the UK.

Does anyone have one of these? Are they actually worth buying? Can't justify paying £100 for a controller

Meh. I also got the 'Official Elite' battery back. Which is junk. It cuts out a lot (like when its about to tell you your batteries are low, even though Dashboard is telling you you're at 75%+ battery). So the battery back is BS. Im told you can just use normal play and charge kits - so the battery compartment is no different.
The controller itself is lovely though. I have the higher sticks to play Siege and it makes a massive difference.
Its also a rubberized feel without getting sweaty in your hand - so thats clever.
Havent downloaded the app to program the back paddles - but as all the buttons are magnetised, ive just taken them off for the time being.

I only own an X1 and I can still think of 1001 other things I'd rather spend £100 on than a single controller. Insane what people throw their cash at nowadays. Saying that, relatively speaking, I suppose it's no worse than spending over £600 on a phone.

Thanks, nearly bought from Argos at £120 the other day. Managed to sell my old Titanfall special edition for a decent price to cover the some of the purchase!

Lovely controller. I did pay the 120 at Argos but moneys worth to me. Big sticks do help greatly with shooters. Also programming the paddles to jump, melee, reload etc works a treat so you dont lose contact with the right thumbstick.
I am on my 3rd however as first two both had a sticky left trigger out of the box. Still worked but annoying as hell. Newest one works perfect

Shouldn't standard controllers be like this in the first place?

Not really. This is a premium quality product. It's mostly metal and rubber on the outside rather than plastic. Hence the high price tag.
At the rate these are selling it looks like Microsoft are onto a real winner.

It's quite a lot but to some people cod is there main hobby so you consider djing etc this is relatively inexpensive. I'm impressed with how fast they sold out must be priced quite low. I m hanging up my headphone and getting a pad

Just buy a 4-pack of Eneloop or 7dayshop rechargeable and a decent charger and you're set, anything else is just a waste of money.

Tried Duracell 2300 and then some 2800 I had from Maplins and they never lasted. Not sure if I have a faulty pad or what, but an hour tops.

He has got a point as £100 is a lot of money and even u think u can buy a console , controller and few games for just over £100 more then it makes this expensive controller look overpriced

I have two on reserve at Argos but if it's gonna be £99 every now and again I may wait it out instead of forking out £119. £119 is a joke for a pad, as is £99 but it's less harsh on the wallet

Yeah, I'd rather put that aside and put it towards a PS4. I suppose these things always appeal to the more money than sense brigade and they'll always justify why these things are totally worth the outlay. When in reality they really aren't.

Just because some people spend their money differently than you doesn't mean they have no sense, just that they have their own tastes. Stop trying to force your opinion on everyone else.

I'm surprised Duracell even do rechargeable batteries quite frankly not surprised by their performance. Using Eneloop 1900mAh in my elite controller, played through the entirety of Ryse, about 8-10 hours, and they're down to 75%.
Get the Eneloops or even 7dayshop one's but make sure you get a good charger that wont damage the batteries.
I've tidied this thread up; there is no room for petty arguments / name calling. Thank you.

I got an elite for myself and a lunar got my daughter and I prefer the feel of the lunar, I'm not a massive games so I can't see myself benefiting from extra buttons or faster response times etc so I've swapped my daughter who reckons she will benefit massively from the elite. Goodness knows, all I know is I've spent £150 and only got a lunar controller

Would be really interested in trying this out, 'lol usually buy anything and once my mind is set on it I'll get it. However at this price for a controller can't justify the price
Why exactly are these so expensive?
Will it be a case of expensive then in 6-9 months you can get them for £50 (especially if they release a 2nd better version than this)
