From the EA Hub, you click The Vault, click the game and choose Install, and it should take you to the Xbox store page where if you have a paid version of Gold, and the holder of the Gold is 13+, the install button of the game will appear pink and not have a charge - you can install it and play. You don't need to click the sign up, or join buttons.
Trial versions of Gold, and holders of Gold under the age of 13 won't be able to access this deal.

Not having a dig at you at all.
I have a 10 yr old and I also control all he has access to. When I got my Xbox One I wanted to link his Gold account and, because it was set up with his age, I had to also do some "fudging".
Just seems that a lot of parents are unaware regarding the 13+ online thing, and then wonder why there are issues.
Bold_Seagull
21 Jan 16#78
Not sure if you're having a vague dig or not there....his Xbox settings are controlled by me, and I set all the content he can view and see, who he can interact with etc. BUT I was able to use his Xbox account to sign up for a 1 Month Gold Trial (despite his age), the offer wasn't available to me as I'd previously had Gold on my account. So Xbox Live doesn't need you to be 13 but EA Hub does - obviously not enshrined in law as such.
WalkerboyUK
21 Jan 16#77
That's because 13+is the Government imposed stipulation for online activities, to help prevent paedo's, grooming etc.
The terms and conditions for Facebook & Twitter state that you need to be 13.
Mind you, there's plenty of parents out there who couldn't give a toss what their kids are up to and accessing, which is why they are oblivious to the terms and conditions.
Bold_Seagull
20 Jan 16#76
Just had one...it's because my son is 9, for EA Access he needs to be 13. Not sure if I can associate his remaining Gold to my account to gain access...going to try...
MS won't transfer his Gold (I figured), so I've edited his DOB in his MS profile to see if that works.
Going to be a lot of under 13's with Gold who are going to be scratching their heads as to why they can't access the vault and games in there suitable to their age. The 13+ should be larger print somewhere on the EA Access page.
PsillyPseudonym
20 Jan 16#75
My mistake. It's the 14 day (or less) trial that you can't download Gold games with. Maybe you can try doing an online chat on the Xbox website to see what the issue is.

it muddys the market which is probably why Sony don't want it.
It launched strong but Now it's value is questionable. Dragon Age and need for speed you can Pick up to keep forever for About £10 each
Last years sports games are practically worthless at about 4 quid a pop second hand and most people don't want.
There's nothing on the horizon too so it's probably a bad time to sign up hence the free weekend to try and get a few more sign ups.

15 Jan 16#30
It will take you 5 days just to download the games...
By April/May all the sports games will be updated to the 2016 versions. Saying that, they've made the control system on NBA & Madden a little too complex for my liking.
I've got 2 weeks left on my 1 month subscription.
£20 for a year isn't bad, but at the same time, with the backwards compatibility and free Games with Gold, I'm not sure I'll dip into the vault games enough over a year, seeing as I really only use my console for a couple of hours per week.
Just looking on ebay for a cheaper 12 month. There's nothing.
In fact, the only thing I could find was one for £29.99
Why would anyone pay that on ebay when you can get it direct from EA/MS for £20???
WalkerboyUK to Lebdude
15 Jan 16#37
Prices from CEX:
Battlefield 4 - £20
Battlefield Hardline - £18
UFC - £20
NBA Live 15 - £15
NHL 15 - £15
FIFA 15 - £5
Plants v Zombies: Garden Warfare - £25
Madden 15 - £15
Dragonage Inquisition - £15
Need for Speed Rivals - £18
That's £166 in total, or 8 years of EA Access subscription, where they will inevitably add the 16 versions of Fifa etc at some point, and you get Beta access to new games ahead of launch, plus 10 hours of play time on new titles.
It's a no brainer, unless you like just throwing money away.

I found it perfect for things I wasn't sure on, Titanfall for example. £3.99, played it a week, decided it wasn't for me.. I'd have hated to have paid £10-15 even and had to sell/mess around.
It was also brilliant for trying out Need for Speed (newest one) and Battlefront, full game 10 hour trials, saved myself £40-50 on Need for Speed as again it wasn't for me, and bought Battlefront on PS4.
