No reason not to buy on GoG, the Galaxy client works well, no point in paying the Steam premium. Plus I guess more money goes to the publisher, and they thoroughly deserve it!

Last time I tried to purchase something from Instant Gaming (Rise of the Tomb Raider pre-order), they wanted me to send them a copy of my passport or drivers license for 'ID verification', considering they're based in Hong Kong, their data protection laws allow them to keep copies of such things indefinitely.
Obviously, I refused to provide it and requested a refund, then purchased it from CDKeys.com instead.
Personally, I'd be vary wary about purchasing anything from Instant Gaming.

The price has gone down to £12.70 but you've put me off even trying after finding out they ask for photo ID. No retail site that's even half decent EVER asks you for photo ID - not least for a photo of you holding ID. That's just weird, and highly suspicious. Avoid these at all costs. As I've said before, it's up to the site to prove THEY'RE legitimate, not for us to prove we're legitimate customers. And for those about to try and tell me "oh but you could have stolen someone's card - it's just so they know you haven't" well then any half decent company would recoup that loss back from the credit card company or bank further on down the line. Again, there is no genuine reason whatsoever for you to send a photo of yourself to a company holding up your ID. Full stop.

Other than create a fake ID using Photoshop based on what you sent them, of course... but hey. At the end of the day it's down to everyone what information they're willing to send to some random person half way across the world.

Based on what?
They aren't on Rebellion's list of approved sellers: http://www.epicbundle.com/official-steam-reseller
Keyradar.com considers them unauthorised.
Lewis Proctor (of ****) considers them unauthorised (and he's part of their affiliate program I think).
Pretty much every discussion here, on Reddit, and on steam refers to them as a grey market site.
As a rule of thumb, if the deals they offer seem too good to be true (i.e. £10 cheaper than Steam, GMG etc), then it probably is.
N.B. it's not necessarily accurate to say that most grey market keys are illegitimate or stolen (well, depending on what you mean by illegitimate). A lot of them are from countries in which the price of games is lower - people working on behalf of grey market sites purchase copies, and they sell the keys for them online to people here at a lower rate. It's not technically illegal (hence why it's 'grey' rather than 'black' market), but publishers don't like it, and some would argue that the industry will take potentially undesirable steps to stop it (e.g. region locking games).
However, as a lot of the sites do operate through unofficial channels, there is a risk of them being stolen, as you say.

Instant-gaming and CDkeys aren't authorised resellers either as far as I'm aware - a list was published when the Sniper Elite 3 incident went down. Note, Instant-gaming was one of the sites whose customers had keys revoked (because the developer/publisher alleged that they were stolen before being sold).
That's not to say that every grey market site is equally (un)trustworthy, or that people shouldn't use them, but it's still a buyer beware situation.

You mean, Steam trading cards in general?
Go to your Badges and you'll see all your games which will give you trading cards.
Install and idle the games until you have all of those cards.
List to sell them for exactly the same price as their current low.
I keep trying to estimate how much I've got from my cards over the past few years, but it's not easy to keep track. However, I did have Steam wallet of over £7 available before going into the last three big sales, so that's ~£21+ over the past ~13-14 months (allowing me to get games like South Park: TSoT and Tomb Raider for free - really free, not "PS+ Free").
But for the ~18 months before that, when trading cards were worth more? Hmmm. I just didn't keep track at all. Almost certainly more than £50 in lifetime sales, though.
You might think that it's ridiculous a few 10p cards can be sold to a total of £50, even in three years, but with a few badges crafted, you increase your drop rate for booster packs - I get one roughly every month (two already this year), and those sell for the price of three cards. And foil cards can go for over £1 each (and it used to be a lot more). Thinking about it, I'd say £50 is a very conservative guess.
But if you mean, The Witcher 3 Steam trading cards? Sure, you can sell them, but you'll only get about 30p for them. Just get the game for GOG.com.

The upcoming expansion contains more than half the content seen in the full game. Kinda **** all over those arguments a lot of gamers seem to have thought up in their heads or parrot from elsewhere, about devs not being able to feed their kids if they don't charge £13 for an hour long piece of dlc.

Just a heads up:
I tried to pay using PayPal as a first time customer. They blocked my payment and asked me to post a photograph of my photo ID via imgur! This is a security disaster waiting to happen. It's worth noting that they want you to pay their PayPal fees as well, so it's more like £16 when they add on THEIR fees.
