Two years ago I got a Wii U with 2 premium games for £199.99. How on earth has the price not dropped considerably given how few they have sold?

Paid £219 over Xmas from Tesco for the same bundle. Most fun console in the house. While there is merit to critics arguments, it has been a worthwhile buy for me.
And they have 5.7/10 on Trust Pilot, which granted is not glorious or a shining reference. You can however purchase with them via paypal, which gives the consumer adequate protection. They are still an improvement on PixelElectronics who actually are UK based, but might as well be foreign. Alza are certainly no worse than PixelElectronics which does beg the question why is one allowed deals posted for and not the other.
Maybe a MOD or HUKD person will be kind enough to explain?

You do realise that your beloved Alzashop.com has a Trustpilot rating of 2 stars from 92 reviews?
Alot of which actually are reviews from people who have not been given refunds or are out of pocket, compared to Pixel who are mostly complaints about slow delivery, eu stock (which is stated in the product description as far as i can tell), and slow answering emails.

And yet HUKD allows this dodgy seller but Alza is a no-no. That makes a lot of sense.

To be honest it seems the wii u popularity is rising, it may be to do with the lack of fun family friendly games on the xbox and ps4. These seem to be far more adult orientated now.

Cold deal:
1-seller has some bad reputation.
2-console is not UK model so need plug adapter + lower resale value here
3-Bundled games are digital/pre installed so no chance of selling trading them
4-this console will be replaced this year, paying over £200 for it at this time is just not logical, these will be on sale for cheap eveywhere when the successor is launched (this year).

Some people are willing to pay that much...but not many as evidenced by the poor sales figures. That was my point, not that nobody would pay it (obviously, as I mentioned I bought one myself).

I take it the guy who never received the refund was you? If not I don't understand what your problem is. There's something strange about a guy who goes on trustpilot & 'finds useful' only negative comments about a random rakuten seller but doesn't bother explaining why (& who also doesn't seem to find positive comments useful). Ah well.

So, never receiving a refund equates to not being a scammer?

I was simply pointing out to noahsdad that someone - ie you - had implied that Pixel Electronics were 'a scammer'. Negative reviews pretty much all boil down to 'very slow delivery' so I don't understand why you keep shouting on every thread about them being scam artists? Also picking the minority of 1 star reviews from a seller that has 4.73 stars out of 5 based on 649 reviews to support your 'claim' seems a bit like you have too much time on your hands. Why don't you try being a bit more helpful occasionally rather than just bleating your stupid ill-informed opinions all over every Nintendo-related thread? Happy New Year to you anyway, all the best for 2016!

It's the price people are willing to pay for a fun, family console. There's no competition really so prices can remain high.

I ordered a Wii U from this seller before xmas (for my nephew), I emailed the seller to ask that he please include the UK adaptors in my order (as mentioned on the item info). I got a nice reply back saying he would be sure to do this. Wii U arrived on time and did include both of the adaptors. The console works fine and we were very happy with the price and service.

Couple of more feedbacks' from Pixel Electronics' "satisfied" customers.
Plus, let's not forget the reviews on Trust Pilot too.
Pixel Electronics is a mixed-bag so anyone willing to take the risk has to acknowledge if something goes wrong they have to get their money back through their bank because the customer service is **** poor to non-existent, or if lucky, he actually replies back.
I don't believe I or anyone else for that matter has stated Pixel is a scammer? It comes down to bad customer service really. There have been plenty bad reviews. Nothing wrong with giving people the basic information and letting them do their own online research before buying and deciding for themselves.

Alarm bells are one thing, but advising people he is a scammer is another. If the latter is the case, with documented proof then the site shouldn't be allowed on here.

I bought a new 3DS XL from amazon France, zero difference with UK.even box text is identical.and obviously chargers are not included in the box so no problem there either.
I don't know what problem you had with your "euro version" 3DS because apparently there is no euroversion 3DS,all same.

Pixel Electronics... You don't have Paypal in this situation so if anything goes wrong you have to call your bank. "They" don't have a phone number nor reply to emails so customer service is non-existent.

Not necessarily true. I ordered this very pack close to Christmas, and was concerned about delivery getting to me in time. I emailed Pixel and got pretty good service, Olly agreed to send me the MK8 only pack which he could guarantee a Christmas delivery for, then sent me on the Splatoon game afterwards.
I know others have reported bad/non-existent customer service, but for me it was pretty good. YMMV.
