not a great deal on offer at southend waitrose they had a massive table of heston mince pies but they are still full price, i bought some anyway because im a tad addicted to them

Went into Waitrose in Rickmansworth Herts and got 2 of the Burt Bees jars with hand, foot and lip balms reduced from £19 to £3.39. Lots of other reductions in the seasonal shelves such as a whiskey, glass and thorntons choc set for £2, absolute vodka and glass set for £2, kit kats in a bus shaped tin for £1.50, maltessers large selection box £1.30 and similar price for the bis thorntons renindeer and snowman, square tub of swizzlers sweets for £1.37, earphones with a pearl lead reduced to £2, speciality sponge puddings reduced from £6 to £1.40. Insulated cup and earmuff set for £2, box of 5 packs of cadbury freddo faces for 87p, wrapping paper from £3 to £64p, red tissue paper and ribbon set for 25p, Boxes of biscuits reduced from £8 to £1. small jars of dolly mixtures for 97p, boxes of jelly babies for same price. They even had the twin pack of bounty kitchen rolls with a snowflake for 90p.

can recommend their Christmas cake - had one ourselves this year, it was lovely - didn't fancy paying £3.50 for a box of Heston mince pies tho!

Been in today and got 4 metres of Christmas wrapping paper for 75p, Lindt chocolate teddy bear for 75p and Lily O'Brien's box of chocolates priced at £2.75 but scanned at £1.37 :sunglasses:

I'd be tempted if the nearest Waitrose wasn't 100km away.

Didnt want to buy a 5p bag but got 7 rolls and two boxes of lovely cards (32 in each) for £6! Yard of Jaffas reduced to 70p but couldnt carry them!

York Waitrose closed Xmas Day and Boxing Day, then closed 3 more days due to flooded road outside, just re-opened 10 a.m. today! Straight to 75% off on most Christmas stock.

Added plenty of Lindt to my private mountain of post-Christmas chocolate from the Willerby store. Nice heads up.

Bought a couple of Christmas puds - use by 2017, so that is me sorted for next Xmas.

I will check out my other store tomorrow for theBurts Bees..... but don't hold out much hope there will be any left.
Got all my wrapping paper last year from Waitrose reduced to 10p...... there were trolley loads of them left. I have enough to last for decades, but I have gifted most of it to family and friends.
Waitrose may be more expensive than others.....but they do have some really nice stuff.

Possibly........but it's well worth the journey to get away from there to somewhere considerably nicer, and so much more affordable. :wink:
