Despite being on sale I wasn't able to find mention of this in previous posts. Either way I thought this was a great price for this even in digital form (was £11.99)

I know I'm in the minority but I found this game incredibly tedious...
Endless superfluous text that you ultimately get bored of and skip through, which then means you miss the one snippet of info in the previous 40 pages of guff that you need to solve a puzzle.
If you're into this kinda thing, it's a great price (heated)... If not, £5 isn't bad for an insomnia cure :stuck_out_tongue:

If you like visual novels, I highly recommend this and its predecessor. Both feature mind-bending branching plots where each branch contributes to an overall meta-story in a very intelligent way.

The most amazing visual novel I have ever played -- although I recommend going through 999 first for maximum effect. That said, it is not necessary.
I'm going through Steins;Gate at the moment. Slow start, but gets very good and has a very similar feel.

I thought it was honestly abysmal. It was so poor I can't even tell you. Gameplay was boring. Story wasn't engaging. Ending was TERRIBLE (perhaps I got the "poor ending"). There are about 20 different endings to the game depending how you play. Over-rated in my opinion...

It'll only let you skip dialog you've seen before, when you get to new info or conversations you'll not be able to skip.

really tried to get into this.... the reviews are amazing but i just couldnt :disappointed: ... was one of the ps+ games previously but this is the best price for it atm

Brilliant game - well worth £5! Puzzle solving meets quality storytelling that you piece together throughout multiple play-throughs. If you enjoy 'escape the room' games on your phone or tablet you'll love this.

I actually do like those kind of games and have done since Myst...
I think the difference is that reading text on lit screens is tiring and the story wasn't exactly best-seller material :smirk:
It's a bargain for those who'll like it though - so much of gaming is a matter of taste :smiley:

Considering the enthusiasm I had after a few hours of this game, it's important to distinguish between the words "seen" and "displayed" :stuck_out_tongue:
Like I said, I know I'm in the minority but it's good to have a counter opinion on here, in case others find reading a novel on a LCD / OLED screen tiring.

I know this game has great reviews but like you I didn't enjoy this game. Only completed one run through and by then I had enough of this game.

Recently played the first game 999 which was excellent, recently picked this up on PSN for the same price so look forward to getting to it at some point.

Missed this on PS Plus somehow so may have to partake now. Might be good to alternate between this and The Banner Saga, which is currently downloading...

I'm in the 'pro' camp here, but as you can tell by the comments, it isn't for everyone. For the record though, I generally find visual novels boring as hell - even the first game in this series, 999, didn't grab me - but something about VLR got its hooks in and I put about 30 hours into it across three days!
I know there was a demo for it on 3DS, not sure if it's on Vita - might be worth checking before spending the cash.

I presume I'll enjoy this as I enjoyed Danganronpa. Other than this and Steins Gate are there any other games like this excluding the Danganronpa sequels.
