hahaha lol Im not that bothered and i support Google because they need money for all the "free stuff" they provide
Like the Google Cardboard app that this very threads product relies on!
Everything is tracked anyway...big brother is watching lol but yeh startpage duck duck etc etc no end of alternatives with different features etc, allsorts for allsorts so just go with what you want to use, but I do acknowledge the impact Google has had on the world, they obviously need way to monetize but thats the world we live in, you wouldnt get very far without money

It's great that VR is now here and working brilliantly! I'm told you can't tell the difference between VR and real life anymore, there are thousands of apps and that we'll all be plugged in using them by Christmas.

I have the iBlue one, they are good but when you buy from gearbest be wary that they are built for asian noses, can be uncomfortable on the bridge of westerner noses whereas asians have a flatter nose.

How does this work for those people (e.g. me) who need to wear reading glasses?
The thought of having a screen so close to my eyes isn't at all appealing

sbsvideoplayer on android...turns videos stereoscopic so you can watch them on these things...however you are better looking for one with the magnetic button if your on android...not so much on ios...

I've bought one of these in the past. It's great for a test to see if you like the whole VR experience but don't expect it to last forever. Lenses fell out of mine after 3 months.
Most people saying that Google carboard etc is pants havent set up properly ,
ie the right setting for the phone size and lenses ,
saw countless people saying the Ritechs II are no good but after Ive informed them of the Qr barcode scan for their particular phone theyve all changed their tune

Ive got this one (infact two and i can second they are ace
just remember to set up the Qr setting and moisten the suckers a little make a huge grip
It is a very nice bit of kit, comfy, well made and fits my 6 plus nicely.
The only negative is the suckers to hold the phone do allow it to slip slightly. It just needs a bit of foam on the bottom edge to stop this.
Not sure what Android offers but IOS has a few apps you can use. im360 is a good one, lots of 360 3d videos.
As for games, they are rather basic. Normally roller coasters or walking about games but it is early days at the moment.

"If it's poor, i'll stick it on the cat and watch him go crazy (I jest before RSPCA / Police / FBI come and get me)"
Are you sure you don't have a Lion in your house and you've mistaken it for a cat? I had a mate who did that once God rest his soul, anyway if you do find out it's a Lion then the Police won't be a problem I would imagine. One last thing if it's not a cat, do they make smaller VR headsets for pets? Oh of course they don't, but I'm off to Dragon's Den! Get in, knew this year was where I was gonna strike it big!

This one does have a controller and you can wear glasses- what do you reckon? Worth a go? Will fit my iPhone 6 so resolution might not be so bad. Better than the 1990s VR arcade flight sims anyway

I think the reason it doesn't work on cardboard apps is because it doesn't have a magnet "button" on the side like cardboard does, so you can't select stuff. but you can buy a Bluetooth controller that does the same thing and better. Just be careful if you wear glasses too as a lot of these don't allow adjustments.

I'm considering getting one with adjustable focal length for my next set, it's a little bit more expensive but I'm considering this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Google-Cardboard-VR-Box-Virtual-Reality-3D-Glasses-Helmet-For-Iphone6Plus-4-7-6-/262038584415?hash=item3d02b77c5f:g:-NAAAOSwYHxWHffq. My eyes would lose focus a lot with the fixed sets which I'm hoping was due to the incorrect focal length.
Will see how it goes and report back
The New Ritechs III dont own them but hmmmm may try them
