The TRANSFORMERS are back, and this time they’re in the hands of acclaimed developer PlatinumGames, who has married their over-the-top, stylish action with a major dose of nostalgia to create a TRANSFORMERS game like none other. The AUTOBOTS face off against DECEPTICONS when MEGATRON discovers a way to harness the enormous power of Plasma Energy to Cyberform Earth.

Avoid this post at any deal price. This game is incredible. Short but incredible.

How are they going to reskin Transformers into Ninja Turtles?
That's taking "robots in disguise" a tad too far...

Heat for the price, the game annoyed me though (and I'm an 80's child so G1 fan).
Platinum are reskinning this as a Turtles game next aren't they?

No good at it ? I was wary about it but got it when it was £16 and it's well worth the money and at this price it's a steal, it may Be short but lots of stuff to find and good replay value. One day we might have a day when people understand the sites not called what I like uk, but hotdeals, just because you personally don't like it doesn't mean something is not a good deal

I really enjoyed this game, a nice break from all the time consuming open world never ending games around. Great price at £13.49

I didn't know that I had a biting point for this game, turns out I did. I watched the IGN review and I think it was the transforming sound effect and the original voice actors that sold me. Plus it's Platinum Games. Bayonetta 2 and Wonderful 101 are two of my favourite games.

Its the same price on Amazon so I'm wondering how the GAME exclusive edition is different to the standard one?
CoolSurface
13 Jan 16#21
It's short, but a fantastic game. All the old surviving voice actors and decent imitations of the ones that have sadly passed away, the proper transformation sound effect, animation that strongly resembles the animated movie. It's the game you always wanted to play as a kid!

Ha, ha nice one.
I think he's assuming that Platinum will take the same formula and apply it to their Ninja Turtles game. Personally I don't see that as a bad thing as I really like Platinum games. They are the masters of the hack n' slash genre.

Still not been able to work out whats different about the GAME Exclusive Edition. Is it just the packaging?

There's an image on the Game product page that's titled "Special Features". It shows, Nemesis Prime skin with Dark Star Saber Weapon, Red Alert skin with Photon Disruptor Weapon and Goldfire skin with Gold Hunter Weapon. I'm guessing that's the Game Exclusive Content.
Great price. Can't justify until my backlog is reduced, although £9.99 would probably make me do it anyway :sunglasses:

As a G1 lover, this is an excellent, fun game. The story mode is short, but I'm playing through now on the hardest level and the challenge mode on Commander is pretty tough. You need to put time into obtaining and upgrading the strongest weapons. As a loyal Decepticon, it's disappointing they're not playable, but wrecking **** as Optimus is still a damn good time.

As its cheaper on the ps4 and I can't see any huge differences between the PC and ps4 version, I would just get the ps4 version, and at least if you don't like it you can sell it on

I got this at xmas, but really not put much time into yet. 80s kid and first impressions are its visual and audio impact is excellent. Stuck it on hardest setting from the getgo as aware going to be short game and its deffo a challenge. Only starting to understand the weapons, but have a feeling its going to be a very repetitive - not sure if that's good or bad, but time will tell
Worth the low price tag regardless!

No. Looking trophies some expect you to win battles taking no damage, I unlock one and the rate was 1.5% I still don't know how I managed it, others do missions in a certain time or unlock weapons etc

13 Jan 16#36
Goldfire? That's Goldbug in the picture, so I'm guessing there's a licencing issue there?
Would like to get at some point, but don't have a PS4! Can't afford it with all the blasted Masterpiece's coming out this year!
Curlynob to Exinferis

You're right, but I don't think the licensing issue is with the game maker. Apparently there's been quite a few issues over the years with different character names being copyrighted by others and becoming unusable.

You should come over to Nintendo, spending hours searching for pointless collectables is what we do - and we don't even have an achievement system - we do it for the peace of mind.

It's okay dude, I'm only having a bit of a laugh... I do love collecting stuff though :man:

But Nintendo-developed games don't really rely on collectables. It's usually SEGA and SE games that require heavy collecting.
