Will this work on xbox 360 as i get issues on built in 2.4 GHZ connection as everything else in the house is on the 5 GHZ

No it won't, you can share a PC/laptops internet if it has WiFi plus a LAN port though.

Just about to post it !! Bought one installed Win7 64bit no problem, running 5ghz next door speed varies about 150mbps pretty poor tbh, but good price and yes it does come with an USB 3.0 extension cable !

I have the similar model tp-link external adaptor that has two small arials. It consistently maxes out my connection from a part of the house that is usually quite poor with general WiFi.

I have only had bad experiences with this product and Windows 10. You have to email them for the drivers as they are not uploaded on the website. I had constant internet drops. Good price it it works with other operating systems.

I have had this for 6 months and just recently it has been dropping connection a lot. Not sure if it is related to this device or it could be the TP-Link router I have. Personally my next devices will not be TP-Link as I've had one too many bad experiences with them.

My router seems to be dropping a lot, but I thought maybe it was Plusnet.

If it's a recent thing, it's more likely it's something that's changed. The most common culprit by far is more wifi networks in your area, or people upping the power transmission on their routers.
You can check through using one of many free apps on your smartphone.
