Looks good - but ( yes there's always one ) only one HDMI? Beggars belief really that they throw a load at the viewing part but overlook the connectivity angle :disappointed:

I'm not convinced on Argos Q&A or the pictures of this model though so unless you or somebody else can suggest ( prove ) otherwise then I'll stand by my comment.

Ok I looked into it a bit more and tesco spec says it has 3 and an Amazon question also gets the answer of 3.
I don't believe any modern tv has only 1 HDMI port, even my cheapy 3/4 year old celcus has 4.

Fair enough - your right I'm wrong' happy to be wrong' I've just got rid of an LG TV that had 3 X HDMI' only one of which worked as the other 2 were for possible add ons by engineers ( obviously when LG thought of TVs rather like a desktop pc and things can be added on request at a premium price )

pictures show 3 side mounted hdmi and 2 usb3 ports and another of each on the rear

Argos pix clearly show 3 x side-facing HDMI on LHS and 1 x rear-facing HDMI on rear. Looking at the user manual, this is a supermarket Vestel re-badge. The manual doesn't appear to state the number of HDMI connections, but it does suggest you don't eat the two batteries included for the remote. USB is stated to support a very comprehensive set of codecs including HEVC [email protected] at some ridiculously high bitrate. Might be possible to find the same set cheaper with a different badge such as Bush, Digihome, Finlux, etc. User manual can be viewed in any browser here.

why did Toshiba lose there way, it was only a few years ago they were so proud of making there large sets in Plymouth, they all had stickers on being very bold about it? now they rebrand?

Toshiba did and presented the very first 4k in the world market if I am not wrong, I saw that at JL oxford street 5 years ago, it had 3d without glasses but was crap. 55" and price was around £8000.
Anyway, do not expect much, surely does not upscale to 4k, sd and hd picture will be degraded. Wondering if it is good to be used as a monitor, can see it does 60hz at 4k but not sure if @ chroma 4-4-4, response might be slow

Even some Panasonic TV's are now made by Vestel, its a shame they have to do this nowadays, but many people shop on price not quality, you watch your TV for hours every single day so its worth paying for a quality TV IMO

I'm not sure about the price/quality debate. I can't see any reason not to buy this unless it really is rubbish. I certainly don't spend hours every day in front of my TV. I have a friend with a Bang and Olaffsen (whatever) TV that must have cost many thousands when it was new. Its an old CRT of 27". My point is that tech is evolving so fast that you are probably going to change it after 5 years anyway.

My mum ...who used to be in a care Home ..They had a Toshiba in one of the sitting roms....and im not kidding I was really taken aback at the picture quality Top notch.....I had a look at the back of it took down the serial N0 and did a bit of Googling ...and it was indeed a Vestel .....and this 32" was hooked up to Freeeview on the homes shared Ariel ...but like everything in life you pays your money you takes your chances.....The old gy next room had coughed up for a brand new Panasonic and payed through the nose and the picture was crap compared to the Toshiba.

Actually I got LG from AO using price match against co-op for 419 incl delivery on Monday.
I don't think 2 inches will make a huge difference in this scale.
I`m still debating is 4k anything that I will be able to use in next few years (slow broadband, lack of 4k channels...).
As for Toshiba - as there is no glasses provided one needs to source them, any one 100% sure which ones will work with that Toshiba/compal?

Dunno. most of the complaints seems to be about the lack of 3d glasses. Still seems like a great deal of TV. Mind you, I am strictly an amateur user - not by any means a professional TV watcher

3d issues, poor smart ..doesn't leave you with much confidence in the tv

Went to argos and bought it, if will not like it will return it.
Monday LG is coming so will stand them next to each other and see whats the difference.
Doughter is watching now some movie on now tv.
Picture quality is ok.
Smart functions not tested yet, but looks like they are not worth mentioning.

Does it play Netflix and amaz on is it dual or qjad processor essential knowing

Just reserved the TV. I have 2 days to chance my mind. The price seems brilliant for the spec. Will ring richer sounds in the morning to see if they have anything close .

Also is the Netflix in 4K?

Was just streaming 720p from pc to tv.
Quality was worse than on 8 year old Samsung.
Maybe its a setting issue (I`m doing something wrong...).
The Smart part of this tv is sloooow and smart-less.
If will keep it will invest in Microsoft wireless display dongle and cheap windows tablet.
Will wait for LG to compare stil.

Netflix - haven't tested yet.
Overall it feels cheap from the moment you grab remote in hand and turn tv on (no meat in it - if you know what I mean).
But again - everything should be read as - In My Honest Opinion!

Returned my one.
Was hoping to test Netflix but the app was throwing error when starting. Will post photo later showing what was on screen.
BTW Argos is not accepting returns on TV`s if they are ok.

Anyone interested in Toshiba - buy it and at the same time buy something else (but not Digihome, sharp and other cheap brands) and compare.

Cheap vestel panel and features, forget about quality screen Toshiba used. No 3d glasses for this particular model available as either bluetooth or ir will not work. Argos do not sell this tv as "3d" anymore because of this. Some users managed to pair universal 3d glasses but they have to use them upside down to get 3d effect working. Argos customer service will tell you to wait few weeks until glasses available in UK(?) Was thinking to try one but after this findings cold for me (not voted) - stinking TV...

bought it from argos however it says on the argos websites it has miracast, but there is no option of it in the TV itself. So that's misleading that.

I have not seen Amazon app on it..
I have not tested it beyond what was installed.
I cannot confirm now anything as I've returned that tv.
If you are thinking about buying it - don't, not worth it (on paper it looks great spec wise, but it is not worth the money they are asking for it)

I just bought this TV. It had FOUR HDMI ports (and one is HDMI ARC) and three USB3.0 ports. It's very well specced!

can anyone who has bought one of these confirm if it has HDCP 2.2

(or will work with prime or Netflix 4k content)
