Hope Sainsbury's does stick thw free chocolate biscults.
Tryed to buy the Pickup offer at ny local Sainsburys only to find they are discontinued My nearest store that showed any stock available on the stores own stock computer was a 60 mile round trip!
Could explain the low pickup of offer.

Thanks as always KiKai for the analysis of where best to exploit the offers
Great too to see Waitrose (with their current half-price 4wks [not month!] deals) featuring too - already picked up 2 Baxters soups
re the Capped offers - realise it's only when you manage to photograph & upload your receipt claim that you're included in that capped # of offers - ie not the earn or the scan barcode stage.
Always best to check in-store [our Sainsbury's added in store WiFi a few months back!] that
(a) the capped offer is still there in your App, and ideally green with a large % left - ie not run out of redemptions while you were en route;
(b) the product you are picking up's barcode scans OK in the App - their description doesn't always 100% tally to product on shelf and the App must accept & tick your barcode!
(c) as soon as you've got your receipt upload it ASAP if the (red) capped bar is anywhere near 0% - as it's only at this stage you claim the capped deal; ie avoid other redeemers vanishing the offer from your App before you get around to claiming it!
Thanks KiKai.
Nice to see some freebies back,as I had left them for CheckOutSmart/Quidco.

Interesting one! Shopitize have a big red banner saying "FREE!" on both offers although it then says "earn £1.50". It's not worth the hassle of buying and then insisting they stand by their FREE claim; but I would recommend you email them to tell them about this potential inconsistency!
The "FREE!" claim is repeated on their public Internet website so is definitely covered by Advertising Standards! https://www.shopitize.com/
I have emailed them to alert them to this inconsistency in their promotion and to ask them to clarify, assuming your £1.75 SEL would have been charged at the till, rather than £1.50 (unless you did go to the till to validate what the current till price is there).
Update: had a prompt reply from Shopitize asking for info about £1.75 @ Sainsburys - ie I think they realise they need to revise their offer IF there is a Free -v- reward issue!

Re earlier report that Sainsbury's Local store had Bahlsen Choco Leibniz at £1.75 not £1.50....
If anyone sees them at above £1.50/pack in any Sainsbury's can I ask you to get photographing the SEL, and potentially checking at till that SEL = current price, and sending the photo off to Shopitize so they can FIX the offer - as "FREE!" means FREE not £1.50 towards the purchase!

Anyone know with the capped offers if you add it then it stays there, even if the capped offer runs out as my shopping is being delivered tomorrow and can add it on.

20 Jan 16#57
Though it's been repeatedly reported that Sainsbury's online receipts are indistinguishable from instore receipts... and hence would be recognised as though an 'instore' purchase had been made (although that is clearly breaking the T&Cs of the offer).

20 Jan 161#64
Got my choccy biscuits from big Sainsburys today.
They are indeed £1.50 for the white choc,£1.50 for the caramel and £1.60 for the dark choc pick up biscuits.
So yes they are indeed therefore FREE for me,as I didn't want to be skanked and pay the excess.
My Sainsburys Local charge 15p excess for the biscuits ie.they are priced £1.65 and £1.75 respectively.
If I bought all three there,I would've paid 45p extra and then it wouldn't be FREE as Shopitize only pay £1.50 and £1.60.
Is the same with Little Waitrose where I live, they also charge more for certain products.
I am fortunate enough to be well and able bodied,so I only get the goods which are the same price from Sainsburys Local and Little Waitrose.
Anything else,I cycle the mile or so; or take car if its bucketing down or if I have a lot to buy.
There are, however,a lot of elderly residents; people with disabilities, mobility problems etc.,mums with prams and young children etc. who unfortunately have no choice but pay the excess (else walk, take a bus etc.).
Give an example, lets say one item is 10p more. You buy over 10 over-priced items means paying over £1 excess!!
Talk about supermarkets taking advantage of the disadvantaged.

Perhaps I could have stated it better. I did try my local (nearest to me) big Sainsbury's, not a Sainsbury's Local store.

Is that Sainsbury's or from another Supermarket?
johnsmith1997
21 Jan 16#68
Got mine from Sainsburys Kiln La.They got almost every variety of Bahlsens biscuit under the planet there.
From their Youtube promo:
Sainsburys Kiln Lane, in Epsom, is just one of number of stores to benefit from a multi-million pound extension. The store features a wide-ranging fresh food offer covering over 50,000 square feet and the complementary non-food extension of over 30,000 square feet provides customers with another reason to shop at Kiln Lane.

21 Jan 16#71
Not FREE from Sainsburys Local!! Skanks!!
ziggycj
21 Jan 161#72
It's the same with all the locals. The add on a premium as the "rent costs more". Like they couldn't just average the price out across all stores. Luckily, I live in London so can choose where to go. I rarely shop in locals for this reason, and always double check the prices.
[/quote]
johnsmith1997
21 Jan 16#73
Correct.
A lot of people don't realise this either.
Like I said,it puts the elderly or those less mobile ones at a disadvantage, since it means they end up paying more.
Shopitizers need be aware, else choccy biscuits won't be FREE,as Shoptize only pay £1.50 and £1.60 respectively.
johnsmith1997
21 Jan 161#74
15p difference add up if you get a number of items.
I only get the things which are same price.
Agree,London is the place to be.

21 Jan 16#79
Takes ages to come back and then say problem with the receipt, resnapped 5 times now and still the same. This app is getting more unreliable by the week
lugsy3 to jayok
21 Jan 16#81
Same too have had to report, kept saying not Sainsburys but it's written in big letters on tiny receipt with 4 items on it. Guessing as capped I won't get a reply in time, how convenient.
KiKai to jayok
21 Jan 16#82
After the second time of re-snapping your receipt you should simply report it via the app for it to be checked manually. It's a lot quicker than doing it 5 times...
KiKai
21 Jan 161#83
They did say earlier that they were having some technical issues which they're working on which is why no one's receipts seem to be going through. As long as you've purchased the correct products from Sainsbury’s you will get your cash back...

I hope so, to be fair they are fairly good, customer wise but always a worry on these capped offers. Worry maybe too extreme for free biscuits lol.

21 Jan 16#85
A few extra tries is worth it if it means not having to wait a week for the report to be looked at and actioned
Shopitize is going downhill fast
KiKai
21 Jan 161#86
They're customer service is great and you will have no issues as your receipt has now been uploaded whilst there was a certain percentage remaining so you will definitely get your cash back once it's been checked...
KiKai
21 Jan 16#87
I suppose if you've got the time and patience fair enough but I find Shopitize usually reply within a couple of days which I don't mind. To be honest I like the new system when a receipt goes straight to being under review as it saves me time re-snapping it...

22 Jan 16#90
Can someone remind me what the procedure is for submitting to COS, CS or TCB? I have accounts with all 3 and can't remember who's connected with who and how you can or cannot submit for these?
Hey Lyssie all 3 apps are now linked as part of the COS network, so they're T&C say you can only claim once from either COS/CS or TCB and not all 3. But lots of people still manage to claim cash back from all 3 for the same offer...
JWNWales
22 Jan 16#93
Thanks for the update KiKai! (As always )
Does this mean that you can buy 3 offers, on 3 separate receipts and upload one each to COS, QS and TCB to take advantage of the offer 3 times?!! I know you can do it with COS and QS, but the wording on TCB's terms implies that once you've taken advantage of the offer once with either COS or QS, it will no longer be available from TCB. Thanks.
NCIS
22 Jan 161#94
I have had a receipt declined by TCB if I already claimed the same offer from COS/QS, despite purchasing on seperate receipt. Asked several times whether you could claim on all, but TCB rep will not directly say Yes, and just quotes terms.
livreg
22 Jan 161#95
Checkoutsmart have confirmed on their FB page that if you purchase separately you can claim from all 3 for the same offer.

22 Jan 161#102
Unfortunately there have been a few extra issues with the app but Shopitize said this has now been rectified. I always avoid uploading receipts during certain times of the day and find either late night or early mornings to work best. After your second upload simply report it instead re-snapping it so many times...

22 Jan 161#103
People have asked on their FB page and they replied that you can buy 3 can't remember exact date was a few weeks back. Also from my own experience I bought 3 packs of the Kettle chips offer all separately and submitted 1 to each and went through fine, although TCB did take ages to go through.

mk-donald
22 Jan 161#105
re the earlier Choco Leibniz discussion re "FREE!" but @ £1.50 cashback = not true if your (local) Sainsbury's was charging more for them....
Shopitize took the issue very seriously very quickly once I/others raised it with them and they revised their website & App to say "FREE*"
ie with the App having a "*" footnote [though I can't spot where the * footnote is on the website]
which footnote says "... is labelled as free based off the recommended retail price (RRP)"
as I imagine they wished to comply with the UK Advertising Code that otherwise their "Free!" claim could well have been breaching.
mk-donald
22 Jan 161#106
Don't overlook that the TCB S&S offer re the Kettle Sensations chips/crisps has been a FRESH one-week offer each week, rather than "a validity period extension" as the offers on the CoS App itself often "stretch" into the future, presumably when not enough redemptions happen in the original planned timeframe.
So each week you could claim afresh with a fresh purchase, though unfortunately now Sainsbury's are back to £2.25 rather than on offer at £1.50 (with £1.50 £back) and Tesco £2.29 ongoing. (Having tasted them free, I'm not sure they're worth the net 75p, let alone £2.2x!)
It is an idea to be alert to in the future though
livreg
22 Jan 16#107
Have you been claiming every week for the crisps via tcb? I did notice the dates were refreshing but I only did it the once tbh.
KiKai
22 Jan 16#108
I always make multiple claims without any issues. But that's great if they confirmed it on their FB page as members can refer to it if need be. I find TCB to be super slow (atleast a couple of weeks) when it comes to confirming cash back...
KiKai
22 Jan 16#110
Shopitize did take the matter seriously as they always look into matters of concern when members raise an issue. Due to only receiving anecdotal evidence there wasn't much else they could do in this instance as the cash back offer comes directly from Shopitize and has nothing to do with Sainsbury’s as such. So if Sainsbury’s are charging various prices it's unfortunate for some...
KiKai
22 Jan 161#111
I agree those Signature Kettle Chips flavours are not good with the exception of the Maldon Sea Salt which I have been claiming free every week. I can't see these becoming popular as they're over priced and not good...

Tryed to buy the Pickup offer at ny local Sainsburys only to find they are discontinued My nearest store that showed any stock available on the stores own stock computer was a 60 mile round trip!
Could explain the low pickup of offer.

If you don't want those cheap soups, buy anyway and donate.
Someone will be more than welcome for them.
Always best to check in-store [our Sainsbury's added in store WiFi a few months back!] that
(a) the capped offer is still there in your App, and ideally green with a large % left - ie not run out of redemptions while you were en route;

Nice to see some freebies back,as I had left them for CheckOutSmart/Quidco.
Couldn't find the caramel ones though!
Donated four tins of Baxter soups, from Morrison's, so far.
Also, potentially cheaper than Sainsburys Local as well.
Biscuits already hidden away ready for luncboxes!
See my earlier posting
http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/week-s-shopitize-offers-20th-january-2016-bahlsen-choco-leibniz-caramel-135g-choco-2378165?p=27153077
which includes link to Shopitize's description of Capped offers making that clear.
Is 2300 now and Sainsburys Local is shut.
Not FREE from Sainsburys Local!! Skanks!!
[/quote]
A lot of people don't realise this either.
Like I said,it puts the elderly or those less mobile ones at a disadvantage, since it means they end up paying more.
Shopitizers need be aware, else choccy biscuits won't be FREE,as Shoptize only pay £1.50 and £1.60 respectively.
I only get the things which are same price.
Agree,London is the place to be.
Big Sainsburys,Tesco,Asda,Waitrose,Morry,Aldi,Lidl,Farmfoods,Iceland,Co-op,99p,Poundland,B&M etc.are all within a couple of miles from where I am.
Shopitize is going downhill fast
http://www.hotukdeals.com/misc/store-receipt-cashback-shopitize-topcashback-s-snap-save-quidco-s-clicksnap-checkoutsmart-2133228
Thanks.
Seem to be having more and more problems lately compared to the earlier days of this app.
