i'm new to all this shenanigans and dont seem to be having any joy with this. Can someone provide absolute idiot proof details on how to get this? do you need to have gold membership? I've never bought anything online for my xbox 360 or one.
I basically go to xbox.com, find witcher 2 and see the page saying "buy gane - free" but when i click on it it either timesout or comes with page cannot be displayed in a frame) I've tried IE11, Edge and Chrome and direct from console and i quite simply cant get the buy game - free link to work.

You miss the point I know it is the same game.There is a NTSC U, NTSC J and PAL version of this game all with a separate achievement list, the games subtitle differentiates between which version. The OP has posted the US version hence it may give an error unless you download with a US account.

The Witcher 2 Assassin of Kings is the NTSC version we in PAL regions get Witcher 2. Two different versions.Use the appropriate region account to get both.

Every version on xbox is the enhanced version, the "non-enhanced" version was only released on PC

Pretty sure both were the enhanced edition weren't they. I went to my ready to install and it was the enhanced version without me having to "buy" it on Xbox.com

Weird its still showing as a "bundle only" on my XBOne. When i click on that link it says nothing has been found.

I just got it too, no idea why it went free in other regions before rather than same time, must be time differences

It's up now, just got it.

A member of the Xbox Team posted on Reddit to say he's looking into why it's not showing on certain region stores.
Hopefully he'll find out what's happened and it will be updated on the UK store soon.

Great game especially free, as others have said wait for them to update the store as MS are confirming it's also for UK etc.

Nope. Just sign in to the account on your console and download it. The game will then be available for your main account.

As said above, its being made available free until February 5th.

it'll be free soon, just got to give it time to update in the UK store.
