Get a partner who doesn't take sugar. After you have made the umpteenth replacement cup of tea/coffee, you will stop taking sugar to make life a lot easier.

Interesting as I really want to get down to taking one sugar in my 10 mugs of tea per day but finding it hard and keep putting 2 in. Going to buy Aldi sugar this week to see if I can enjoy it with one spoon

According to Mr Google, the calorific values of the final product are the same - they are equally as sweet. Sugar from cane is a fairly simple process. Beet sugar is chemically processed to extract the sugar juices.

Ok well try a packet of both, aldi is definitely sweeter, that I promise.
In a mug (double cup) I have 3 1/2 tsp, with the farmfoods one I have to have 5

Tate & Lyle is one of the few brands still made from pure sugar cane. 'Pantry' and some others are made from sugar beet.

I was buying this until recently instead of the aldi one.
I find it is not as sweet so more is used, which I suppose defeats the fact it is 39p
Aldi one (the Pantry) is around about the same price now I think

Quite fancy trying it though, is it a high sugar content?
