Agreed on JKA. but a long time ago...in a galaxy far far away... hot hot hot . Don't be scared about the limited of weakness and shades. JD DF II tested and working fine on windows 10 but I had to use some work around found on the website. great classic vintage to play!

I remember playing Star Wars: Jedi Knight - Dark Forces II online ... You had bragging rights when you could open a lobby saying you had twin 12mb voodoo 2 cards .... which is what I had

It was one of the few games at the time that worked with my dog-awful ATI Rage Pro card with a whole 4MB of VRAM. That and Forsaken. Most other games would spit out woefully unusable frame rates, if they worked at all.
The world of 3DFX cards was, to an 11 year me, completely out of reach sadly :disappointed:
I remember upgrading to a 32MB Voodoo 4 4500 after a few years. The excitement of loading up all of my games to see them run flawlessly was an experience difficult to match. It took a long time for any other card to have that same "it just works" feeling that you got with 3DFX, even when all the T&L bells and whistles were added.

Jedi Academy is still one of my favourite games of all time. The closest you'll come in a game to feeling like a Jedi

Was about to post this this arvo but thought better of it on account of the fact the graphics in the first 3D outing just look embarrassing now. I would say flippantly "worth it just for Jedi Knight II" but considering 1 game for 30p is considered a really really terrible deal I won't even bother saying that. :smirk:

I loved all these games. I wish they make a new single player Star Wars FPS.
