To ask the obvious, it mentions about it being region locked, so does that mean fiddling with a vpn or whatever will result in not being able to activate?

AFAIK. It's locked to the country of purchase. So your purchase would become a UK key. It's to stop the trading of cheap keys worldwide I imagine. Deep Silver are known for their lockdowns.
For peace of mind. Have a read here, this was the same.

'Peace of mind'. That link contains people saying they both did and didn't get it working.:stuck_out_tongue:
Also, I saw stung with the Dead Island collection. Isn't that the same people..?

Dead Island collection confuses me. Not in this instance. It's a region locked product worldwide, as I said before the majority of Deep Silver titles are, but I purchased and redeemed it from Nuuvem around 6 months ago.

Without meaning to be flippant the page very specifically says "REGION LOCKED GAME - it will only work in the region from where it is bought". If you buy a game and are subsequently unable to redeem it (while still in the same country as the purchase was made from) then you would have the right to get a refund since it was misadvertised.
That said I've not seen anyone have any issue with these new region locks that are cropping up on some IndieGala games, just numerous people only getting as far as the words 'region locked' and assuming it doesn't work.

Christopher Brookmyre is a scottish author of crime novels (some of which are hilarious). This is based on one of them. Worth a read, but I don't know about playing.
Also well worth a read if you were interested, A Big Boy did it and ran away. Heavily influenced by classic FPS shooters like Half Life and Quake.
So.... I'm a fan....

A lot more Nuuvem games are purchased locked now. I was going to get Tom Clancy's The Division Gold Edition Pre Order for around £27, which is insanely cheap but all Ubisoft content from Nuuvem is purchased locked, so no point trying now without going to all the faff of making an Argentinian Paypal account etc.

Yeah, it's very rare I even look at Nuuvem these days. It's not worth all the kafuffle just to find it purchase locked at PayPal.

There's no worry about being flippant, so don't panic. I think it's partly my fault for not being very clear with my question. What I was supposed to be asking was whether it was one that needed to be fiddled via vpn (or whatever you use) or just a straight-up UK purchase with the usual paypal / bank conversion. Blame rushing a comment in just before leaving work!

Ahh, gotcha. I haven't bought any of the specific games here from IndieGala but I've bought a fair selection of other stuff from them (both bundles and individual games) and never had to use a VPN so I would assume it's fine.

Seems fine and downloading now. Hot from me!

Since you always get one numbskull asking silly questions about it, this definitely doesn't require any fiddling, and is a straight-up UK purchase with the usual paypal / bank conversion.:man:
