Sadly that's doesn't always work. Cyanoacrylates cure in the presence of water (or any humidity in air), once a tube/bottle is opened it will cure from the ingress of moisture from air, which is why it is usually sold in very small tubes or sachets.

I am now on my second 20g bottle and as long as you give it a wee knock when you have used it and put the screw-able top back on then it is fine and a lot better then the cheap wee tubes that always seem to leak all over your fingers. I only made the comment to make people aware that superglue is available at very cheap prices in containers other then a wee tube.

I have been using various brands, variety of prices not just one. Also there is challenge from hcc27 in post #11. I quote it again as below. Please free to challenge it ...
" hcc27 in post #11 All 'superglue' varieties/brands belong to a family of chemicals known as cyanoacrylates. I doubt there are massive differences in physicochemical properties between the different brands, though I'm happy to be corrected."

Yes that's what happens if you buy cheap crap superglue. If you buy decent stuff that doesn't happen.

If you use super glue regularly (my grandchildren break loads of stuff) you can buy a 20g bottle in Home an Bargain for about 80p lasts for ages, just remember to give it a wee knock on its base to clear bottle tip.

My personal experience with Superglue is that, once you open it, you will need to finish it as it will become hard and you will not be able to use the rest of it.
I think that is the reason why it is sold in small tube, e.g use it, finish it and forget it ...

That being said, this is a stonking price and duly heated.

Hot deal, however I'll be surprised if it's in my local B&M, as very few HUKD deals are when I check. I suspect that B&M stock varies by location and store size rather more than with other chains, but I'll certainly check for this on my next visit. Thanks OP!

I believe you are right. I always look for the 10p deals including ones that haven't been posted yet, but only if I happen to be going there anyway. I also only post the deals I actually find in stock at the particular B&M I am visiting and include an estimate of how many are left.
