Excellent price for a good starter road bike that scores 9.2 / 10
Yes there are better ones for more money but you'll know if you need to spend the extra!

56cm & 58cm in White and 56cm in black
this is a great frame and been very popular for a long time, the downside is the kit, worth considering is chain reaction revenio 3 is 100 more but comes with 105 (5800) one of the best vfm chain sets.

A friend asked if there's any room in the frame to hide a motor? :man:
I've had this bike for about 6 months, got it as part of the Cycle to work scheme...so shopping around was a bit more limited. Anywho, good bike, haven't had any problems with it at all...which is what you want isn't it? Brakes have been fine, as have the gears, and the wheels just go round and round.

I voted hot without any arguments, I have a full carbon bike with gears and brakes.

I bought a T500 when it came out 2 years ago (now called 520). For the extra £50 you are getting carbon forks & Sora. I've used it for 3 sportives, commuted everyday & winter training (I did the 60 mile London to Cambridge in 3hrs). Excellent bike.
I fully understand that people will say that it's a deal because it "used to be" £600. However at £600...wow. You can get 105 components, gorgeous Mavic wheels & sub 10kg weight. The Mach 720 was reduced to £750 recently & that was full carbon/105 & 8.3kg weight.
Yes you can get cheaper bikes, BUT this is the cheapest price for the Specialized Allez 2015 that I could find, it's the same price at Tredz ( sister company) and the next cheapest is JEJamescycles @ £442.99 then Evans cycles and the rest are £480.
So just saying if this was the bike you wanted then Wheelies or Tredz are the best places to buy it

£400 for a carbon fork and claris sounds about right if not a bit high, paying for it having Specialized written on it.
Not that it isn't a good bike but shop around and you'll get sora at that price.

Spec in description says aluminium fork.
I think better bikes have been posted on here for less money recently.

With £200 off it seems good value, especially for a Specialized road bike

You're paying for the brand.
Giant Defy 3 with full sora drivetrain is what I'd expect this sort of money to buy.
Thanks for the links to those reviews, they seem good and that was when it was priced at £600. As one of the reviews said the quality frame is what you are paying for and if required you can always up the spec on the other bits as they wear out or you feel you need something better.
