Why is it getting cold votes? Is that not a good price for that phone. Or do people have bad experience with this supplier.

good price BUT I have the Z5 and have done for a little over a month and the phone has bent drastically in my pocket. I don't wear skinny jeans, I haven't sat on it. Z2 was in the same position for 2 years and no issues.
I cant even retro fit it with a case as the phone is so wonky. So just be warned.

Think this offers the best specs and camera of any (major brand) Android phone right now, and Sony seem good with updates.
Anyone know of a decent rugged case (bit like the Otterbox) for this to take the harsh looking dated square corners away?

I've got the Case-Mate Tough Case for my Z3. Not in the same class as an Otterbox as that's a completely sealed unit. However, as far as tough cases go for everyday easy use i.e. accessing ports etc. this works really well. And it's certainly saved me a few dents / breakages when i've dropped it.

there is 1one on amazon warehouse now for 388.82. I got one from amazon warehouse on boxing day for 391 but they had the 30% off so paid nearer 274 - bargain! Description said damaged box and scratches on screen and back of item - was absolutely perfect (not sure who does the grading at Amazon) Amazing phone, copper z3 for sale if anyone interested lol

decent price for a decent flagship smartphone ... camera has no optical image stabilisation (so Samsung G6 and LG G4 in a different league camera wise) and struggles in low light and avoiding jerky video but it has that lovely microsd card .. personally i would go for the LG G4 from ebuyer and have over £100 in change or get the 64GB Galaxy G6 for around this price locked (costs less than a tenner to unlock on fleabay)

I had the z1 and z3.. Top fones.. In every way. Except the ability to move apps on to sd card.. Phone companies in general really need to start pushing a minimum of 32gb now.

The Z series do better than most Android phones for transferring data to SD cards but the restriction is at Androids feet not Sony's. Should be fixed with the marshmallow update.

This phone is showing as a 4 inch in description, so it's the compact version!
I wouldn't trust this site as the size it quotes is for the normal/middle Z5 but the screen resolution isn't for any Z5 model, the Premium is a 4K (3,840 x 2,160 pixels) screen, the normal Z5 is a 1080p (1,920 x 1,080 pixels) and the Z5 compact is a 720p (1,280 x 720 pixels) screen.
that and the Compact has a 4.6" screen not a 4.0" one.
what this is at 480x800 and 4.0" I have no idea....
Order at your risk.

When it gets to half this price I may be interested. My Z2 is more than good enough til then !
But to be honest, Sony have me as a fan. My son has a Z3 after being ONLY an iPhone man and wouldn't have anything but a Sony too, now
ONLY complaint I have with Sony is they are obsessed with 16gb internal memory. For God's sake. It should be 64gb MINIMUM these days, allied to which when you move stuff to SD card it leaves most behind and you can't clean it. Irritating is an understatement the old Moto E I had a few months was the opposite. It moved the stuff lock stock and barrell and you could clean whats left in the main.

Is it just me, or do Sony phones look a little dated?
Yes, I know they're specification powerhouses, but what's with the 3 year old styling?
Voted hot for price.
ipswich78 to cutthroat_jake

Not necessarily dated, but yes they have barely changed the design in 3 years. However, when its got a case on it how much of the phone do you actually see? In my case its just the screen.

Same deal on Metrofone, too, so I'm guessing they are sibling companies. Does anyone know if these are definitely UK stock handsets? I've emailed them to ask, but I've had no response.

This must be the compact version - in the tech specs it states screen size 4 inches
