These are a steal at this price. Got some last time and they've been stolen by my daughter.
These were £150 when they were released.

Anyone know if the Bluetooth version are good/worth the £120 or so? Price difference seems a bit much seeing as these are only £30...

No. There are better choices for £120 re wireless.
The wired version at £30 is good price.

They were £79.99 very recently, Argos and Amazon, I got a pair, love em, and then got a pair for my old dad, he loves em too, very cosy, light, and over ear.
The wireless headphones are over-ear. These are on-ear.
It is not just the removal of a wire.

These are really nice headphones, but be warn they are a loose fit. Admittedly I have a small head, but they do not hug your head. Comfort wise that's good, but for me they would move on my head if I looked down or up and it drove me nuts so retuned them. But build quality and sound is really good, just avoid if your a pea head like me.

Just trying them out, and can see what you mean about looser than some . But for me that's a bonus point. I have owned sennheisr 205s and it literally did my head in with the clamping pressure

I have four pairs of headphones, including these. I bought them for 29.99 before Christmas. My others are Beyer Dynamic, AKG and another set of Sony. These are light & comfortable, I don't find them too loose, but I sit still when listening, I can imagine they might fall off if you're moving around a lot. The sound is natural, not too bright (like my other Sony set), the short detachable cable doesn't snag easily (a common annoyance on many headphones and earphones) and they don't creak like the BD and AKG sets I have, both of which were much more expensive. They are beautifully made, I really like them....

I agree with you.
MDR-10 do not sit on your head still. If you move, it is likely to move or fall. I have big head that still happen.
At £30, it is good deal for the overall quality and sound.
For people consider wireless version at over £100, do not go for it. At over £100, there are better choices. I returned the wireless version which I bought at £80.

Are argos doing an amazon. Put prices up randomly with demand and dropping them when demand drops. Now £31.99.
Bundled with a Sony phone so often for sale around 25 quid on eBay.

No, no, no, not exactly.
I can see where the confusion coming from. I just googled 10RBT, a lot website showing it as both Over-Ear or On-Ear.
Before Christmas Argos initially described 10RBT as Over-Ear, at the time, all other website were correctly showing as On-Ear. I seriously doubted Argos' description, I purchased one from Argos at £80. It was On-Ear. I returned and informed Argo to change the name, which is now corrected and showing as On-Ear. http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/1478507.htm
10RBT is On-Ear, not over-ear. The ear cans are small, and shallow, they sit on top of your ears, and not fully cover your ears. There are no way 10RBT can qualify as over-ear.
1R is Over-Ear.

I do not like most of Sony headphones' sound personally, not MDR-10, not even MDR-1.
There are better choices on both comfort and sound.
If you want cheap headphones, go for those ones at £30. They are ok and acceptable given the price.
If you are serious about your headphones, and want to spend over £100, I suggest do more research and I am pretty sure you can find something else better. The choice of headphones are vast.
On the other hand, I like Sony's earbuds and walkman. I can highly recommend Sony earphone EX650, for £40, it is very good.

Some headphones which I find sound good, some of the prices are the deal price I bought before, not day to day price.
Sony MDR7506 at £80
AKG K550 at £100
AKG K701 at £110
AKG K702 at £130
AKG Q701
Bose AE2w at £100
Sennheiser HD598 at £80
Sennheiser Momentum 1.0 at £60
AIAIAI TMA-2 Studio Preset at £100
Oppo PM-3 Planar Magnetic at £350
Some of them are open-back, therefore not good to use outside.
Most of them are very comfortable, apart from few.
Sound quality order in my opinion
Oppo PM-3 > AKG K702 > Sennheiser HD598 > AIAIAI TMA-2 Studio Preset
I found the 1st three very comfortable.
Wireless
I have used the following 5,
Plantronics Backbeat Pro
Philips Fidelio M2BTBK
Sony MDR-10RBT
Parrot Zik 2.0
Bose AE2w
AE2w is the only one I found good on both sound and comfort. AE2w is the most comfort headphones I have used. battery only 8 hours. New version are out, but more expensive.
10RBT is the worst out of the 5 and it is the cheapest too.
OK. I see your point. Even Sony website stated it as Over-ear.
The package does not state on-ear or over-ear.
The one I bought from Argos before Christmas is no way over-ear, despite Argos description said over-ear when I bought it. I have used so many over-ears. The one I got from Argos do not cover ears, just sit on top of my ears and press them down which is a typical on-ear. I do not have big ears.

The only Sony headphones which produce sound I like is Sony Pro MDR7506. But it is not as comfortable as others in the same category.

Also you may want to let Sony know that they have the spec of their own item wrong..

Just notice, Argos sold them on ebay Sep 2015 also named as on ear. Could it somehow Argos actually has the 10RBT on-ear version?
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sony-MDR-10RBT-On-ear-Wireless-Headphones-Black-/331140325730
Could 10RBT have both on-ear or over-ear versions just like Sennheiser Momentum and Bose Soundlink Wireless? I found no reference to.
Where did you get your 10RBT? Do them fully cover your ears?
