Virtually an all time low price for an excellent camera, and a really nice Billingham Hadley Digital camera bag thrown in for free is a sweet deal for anyone looking at buying this camera. There's also 3% cashback available through quidco, so that's another ~£27 knocked off.
A groundbreaking camera at the time of its release for cramming a full frame sensor into a frankly tiny mirrorless body, it's still an awesome system if you're looking for exceptional quality in a compact package. Not one for sports photographers with its relatively sluggish autofocus, but aside from that there's not much to gripe about.
Most photographers will be aware of the pedigree Billingham's camera bags carry. Considering most bundles of this type chuck in something cheap from Manfrotto, Lowepro etc, getting something of this quality is a really nice bonus.

There is an additional £100 off on trade-in but it says fill in for quote. So is it up to 100 or actually 100? Could be 899-100(trade-in) -27 cashback
Awesome bit of kit, would love one but draw the line at spending another £900 plus lenses.

considered a7 as it's a FF in a small body but sony lens line up and price put me off. went with fujifilm x-t1 instead.

Good deal! Have some heat.
If anyone's after a A7II (Not R!!), I just purchased one from Currys, to replace my great A7. The in body stabilisation on the II would really suit my style of photography (indoor / low light). Quidco are currently doing a whopping 10% cashback on interchangeable lens camera (only for another day though!!) + i'll qualify for the £100 cashback. So looking at roughly £970 after cashback. Not bad considering how much second hand ones go for on the bay.

How can it be out of focus when it's hybrid pdaf and cdaf? Talking rubbish!
I'd rather they gave the price of the bag off the camera
I have the a7ii and these cameras are the beginning of the new wave of photography. This is the future and will only be a couple more generations before these are untouchable and the years of canikon dominance are over

It's more shutter shock rather than out of focus. SS apparently is eliminated from a7r mk2.

Googling only seems to find people complaining about focus on other cameras compared to this one, could you be more specific?

Do tell. I can only find the odd forum grumble about slow af in low light etc. Desirable as the a7r is, with its high MP and FF combination, I'd choose an in focus 4MP shot over an out of focus 36MP shot any day of the week.

Unfortunately not, the A7R hasn't been included this year.
