or go and get 9 from spar for £1.34

17 Jan 16#10
the 9 packs tend to be for bars 39g/41g bars, so if these are truly 50g bars it's a slightly better value from a price per 100grams perspective.

Saw the 4 packs on offer at 49p on both snickers and mars for around 2 weeks back in November at Tesco, and didn't buy them then, sure I won't be rushing out for these either.Got a waistline to consider and paying for a waistline to grow isn't exactly a hot deal. Wow since when did I become so cynical.

I'm guessing you cleared them out, which store was is? Has this been confirmed as national yet?
I think it's about 10 cubes per bar :stuck_out_tongue:

I worry for humanity if they need an app to tell them that a chocolate bar contains a lot of sugar. :stuck_out_tongue:
It's more like 6 cubes anyway so not quite as bad.

Who cares if you are too fat, these are meant to be enjoyed as part of a balanced diet. lol.

Considering Cadburys reduced the calories count of all their chocolate to 250 and kept the price the same, 6 for 1 quid should be the norm.

On one hand they're appeasing public health fanatics who demand decreased calories, sugar content and portion sizes and on the other yes probably profit. However if they lower their prices, they'll again be pestered by public health to be more responsible and so on.

I checked in the stratford store and they're in stock but definitely not £1, it was about £1.89 so the deal isn't national unfortunately
jnigel26
18 Jan 161#34
No heat only because not national. Well, not in our lidl, they're 1.89.
Packs of 4 are absolutely everywhere now at 99p or a £1. But they are 42g (approx.) bars, if these are 50g bars x 6 that is a good deal, but needs to be nationwide.
And don't freak out, an occasional choc bar isn't bad for you.

Still £1.89 in my local store, even got it scanned to double check incase price listed was wrong

Not in my local store either. Seems so far it's just in the 1 store?
Shame because I'm running a tuck shop in my office as a charity fundraiser, was looking to increase the 'profit' margins.

go to asda, most their 4 packs are 98p/£1.00. 30 pack coke/diet coke when their £7.00 or 30 pack pepsi max when their £5.00 are also a good profit makers, 50p a can.

mars look like 41g?
Donuts123
24 Jan 16#38
These packs are probably imported from another European country where the full-size Snickers bars are (still) 50g. Normal UK "full-size" bars are 48g. There's a label stuck on the back of each pack with English nutritional info.
Opening post
6x50g bars, will get a picture later
