Yes the 5 yr warranty is real, I emailed and called, and they sent me written confirmation, and a certificate with this model number on and that its a 5 year warranty with Smeg.
Apparently it's just a deal between Co-op and Smeg, hence model not listed on Smegs website....and looks like it's OOS now anyway...

We were disappointed to find the lower "deck" was a bit cramped on receiving ours, however I can confirm that it's a piece of cake to sort it out - you can raise the cup tray at the top a bit to give more space at the bottom(shows you how in manual) and it took a matter of seconds to resolve. We now have decent space at the bottom eve for larger plates.

You won't be able to fit normal size dinner plates in the rack, they need to be laid flat, greatly reducing what you can fit in it.

I've had that issue in a couple of dishwashers until recently I discovered the top rack can be taken out and put back in at a higher level. Not sure if this is possible with all dishwashers but couldn't believe it had taken me that long to discover it!

Received my dishwasher this morning and spoke to SMEG directly - as long as you have purchased before 31st Dec 2015 you get the 5 year warranty - you register all the details on their website under extended warranty (you need to attach a scan of your receipt also) and warranty documents will be sent within 30 days.

We got one of these about a month ago and so far it seems very good. It came without any paperwork related to the 5 year guarantee however and the registration hotline (a multibrand call centre) had no knowledge of the 5 year guarantee. I will be taking it up with Coop Electrical to make sure all is in order, (although the receipt from Coop ELectrical states very clearly "includes 5 year guarantee") but that aside, I can only recommend this deal.
A great price and a decent dishwasher.

31 Dec 15#63
Just off the phone to them and co-op denied any knowledge of any problems , he insisted this 5 year promise stands and that although paper work says 12 months , the 4 years on top guarantee applies when you ring Samsung . I explained further about our concerns here and he then said he couldn't explain the problem , so I've cancelled my order on that basis. Thanks for the heads up - I did press them to honour it if there was proven to be a problem , but they were insisting there wasn't one at their end and I just didn't feel confident in the purchase .

This model not reviewed, but this is what they say:
We haven't tested many Smeg dishwashers, but the few we've tested have done fairly well. But the brand isn't rated very highly by its customers - when we researched dishwasher customer satisfaction in 2013, owners of Smeg dishwashers gave the brand low satisfaction ratings.

Beware! Bought this and had it delivered today. Advertised as comes with 5 year guarantee on all confirmation but paper work on delivery only offer 12 months. I've ordered today - if it's not a 5 year guarantee then I will cancel my order tomorrow , they're selling this on eBay stating 5 years too - did they say this is a mistake , as they have a cheek still advertising it if so .

IIt looks like Co-op have made an error in identifying which models qualify for the 5 year warranty.
They don't mention the 5 year guarantee on the DC122W-1 for example which is included in the Smegg warranty promotion.
"This offer is available from the 1st January until the 31st December 2015. looks like it. I got the warranty card out of the packaging after it was delivered and rang domestic and general who register your warranty for Smeg and they assured me that Smeg only offer a standard 12 month manufacturers warranty and they were clueless as to why coop were advertising it as 5 years, I then rang coop who agreed it did state this on their website, they said they'd email their buying dept to clarify and confirmed all their warranty info comes direct from the manufacturer, he was pretty sure it was a mistake. I was promised a call back but haven't got one yet. I was quite vocal that i would expect the 5 years to be honoured as this was what lead me to buy this in the first place! I'll be calling back tomorrow as it looks like I'm being avoided now

Had this model dishwasher a couple of years ago and can honestly say that it was the worst dishwasher that we have ever owned. The front door panel is very thin metal and flexes when closing the door. Also had problems with water pressure in the top spray arm and flooding of the drip tray which shuts off the machine. Eighteen months later the pump failed, was so glad to see the back of it. Just my experience of owning a Smeg dishwasher.
Now have a Bosch and couldn't be happier

My experience is Smeg, too, is not good. I got myself a "range-style" dual fuel cooker about four years ago, thinking it was going to be a reliable brand, and it didn't hurt that it looked great too.
The rubber oven door seal (which has glued metal prongs at each corner that clip-in) seems to perish after a while - at £25 a pop! I'm on my second one which has also done the same.
The biggest gas hob (for frying pans and such) failed after about a year.
Given that I sold on a New World cooker that was about ten years old but still working perfectly, and before that I had a bottom of the line Indesit as my very first cooker that gave me no issues. NOT impressed by Smeg at all!

My experience of Smeg is they're overpriced for what they are. This does look like a good deal though especially with the warranty.
Smeg fridge freezer - door seal went fairly quickly and had to be careful the door was shut tight.
Smeg hob, cleaned it one day and all the power markings wiped off around each knob! Had to guess which one operated which of the 4 cooking burners after that.
