Only 37usd a barrel as it comes out of the ground at the moment which is 119.24litres so arguably could be as low as £3-£5 for 5l (37usd/1.5gbp=£24.67 per barrel (119.24litres). 24/119=£0.20/litre. 5*£0.20=£1.00. Then add refining, marketing, packaging, logistics, mark ups and distribution markups and £15-£18/5litres seems quite profitable!

Fantastic find, my car is due a service about now - sadly for me, there's a load of variations of this oil (AF, AF-L, AG and so on). The one that goes with my Mazda 6 is AF-L, and that'is still a painful £46. I need that particular variant because it's low ash C1, otherwise my DPF light starts flashing. Still, good luck to anyone who can get away with one of the cut-price variants.
