Soon the Vestel/UMC police will arrive to break up the party. Keep it in context. It's a 50" TV for less than £300. Seems alright.

Far better go to Richer Sounds or John Lewis to buy a proper TV and a FREE extended guarantee.

I think we all know that now though. There's been tons of deals on Sharp TVs this Christmas and it comes up every time. To make matters works, we have no independent figures regarding reliability on any of these brands or models, so it ends up spawning rabid arguments based purely on conjecture and speculation, which despite Homer Simpson saying is a " kind of evidence" just isn't!

Odd question, short answer is not all LCD tv's are created equally
i;m sure everyone will tell you that LED is LCD, it just uses LED backlighting rather than CCFL, ELP etc etc, there are many different LCD technologies and the TV's have all gotten much lighter over the years, even plasma, which are usually heavier due to having to use 2 panes of glass, but manufacturing improves and they find ways to make them lighter.
My first Plasma TV, some 10 years ago (or more) was only 42" was very heavy but you can get lighter 50" plasmas in more recent years
Personally, i wouldn't touch this TV, but that's not to say it's no good for anyone else, seems a good price for a new 50" hd tv, however, if this was my budget for a TV, i would be looking on AV forums for a used set instead

Don't forget your 20% VAT from the sale of this television also funds the so-called "war on terror" which in turn benefits the armaments industry which means Turkish or not Turkish it brings more benefit to our authorised mafia of a government.

It is not a brand name it is a generic TV with a badge that badge could just as well b e digiihone, Bush, Hitachi, Matsui,or a dozen other names they would all be similar same cheap panel and components In the end you pays your money and makes your choice

I got the 40 inch version for 180 on Amazon. It looks really nice, and no noticeable input lag. I would go as far as to say it looks as good as the Panasonic Viera, that was 3 times as much a year ago.
