I understand that these hampers are 80% off but... I don't get why anyone wants a Xmas hamper in January :/ maybe sometimes it really isn't a deal if you don't need it???
Nooo I was just literally putting them in my basket and now it's out of stock :disappointed:

Christmas puddings last for years. They typically don't have a use by date, just a best before. They actually get better with age, I've had some that are 4+ years past their best before date and they have been delicious.
I think some supermarkets repackage puddings they don't sell as "extra mature" the next year as I've noticed they have a shorter date yet exactly the same ingredients and nutrition profile.

People get too excited by use by dates. The alcohol coating on a good christmas pudding acts as a preventer to the bacteria eroding the food. As long as it has a brandy or rum coating, you can virtually guarantee it for the dinner table next christmas. It should last about 2 years from the date it was made.
If you are worried pierce it with a skewer when it arrives, pour in a little rum/brandy and secure it in an airtight corner in a dark cupboard for the year. Shouldn't be refrigerated.

There aren't any hobby craft stores round here, so hadn't looked at them. Happy with this price though.

Thanks op, was tempted at £30 but held off, ordered both at this price, was after some wicker hampers for storage but you're looking at £15 for a hamper alone, so it's a great deal especially with the wine as well
