Radeon R9 Nitro 380 4096MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card - looks like it comes with Backplate too.
Novatech offer free delivery on this card if you can wait 3-4 days.
I'd been looking for this card specifically for a while as it's a great chip, and Sapphire has a good reputation.
Seen slightly higher prices for this exact card and other manufacturers' 4GB R9 380's on HUKD in the last few days, so thought I'd share.
Here are posted specs:
Core: 1010MHz
Memory: 4096MB 5800MHz GDDR5
DirectX 12 Support
AMD CrossFireX Ready
AMD Eyefinity
Dolby TrueHD

Powercolor PCS+ R9 390 or Sapphire Nitro R9 390 tri X ?

Interestin forr9 Nintro 380 possible make price - 150£.
For Powercolor PCS+ R9 390 8GB possible to make less than - 230£.
Sapphire Nitro R9 390 tri X - as well 230£-235£
Difference is - 80 £..
If it's worth it for future proof performance!?!
Looks like 390 have 1/3 better performance than 380.

In 12 months the 970 won't be able to handle VR but the 290 will? Where do you get this information from
Async compute claims are slowly turning into VR claims. It will change again soon.

8 Jan 16#26
You make so many bold, unqualified claims, it's hard to keep track of them all.
Do you see anywhere where I am recommending GPUs based on VR? you are making massive assumptions to substantiate this VR dominance in the first place, what happens if you are simply wrong? I mean, you were completely wrong about Crimson being a huge performance boost (It was less than 1%), you were wrong about MANTLE being a game changer, you were wrong about Fury X taking over the crown from the 980 ti.
I could go on, but if there is anyone talking junk about unfounded future events, that's you.

Still spilling your junk talk. You gonna apologize to everybody buying an Nvidia GPU who will have to upgrade in 12 months time because their GPUs can't handle VR or new games.
Course you won't.
You really do talk junk

So, how's that 7950 handling AMD FreeSync?
What's that? Oh, so AMD's cards don't actually hold up to modern features?
Oh, what's that? The NVIDIA 600 can handle GSync? Wow... :-)
Anyway, sarcasm aside, AMD are not future proof, just like NVIDIA.

@Mrdom
The difference here is that the 285 or 380 were never one of their top GPU's, but the 7950 was. When the 7950 was rebadged to the 280 the higher end was 290/x. And then they rebadged those as the 390/x. This is how AMD release GPU's at the moment.

This seems a reasonable deal i guess but this is just an old HD7950 with 1gb extra ram and a slight overclock after a couple of rebrandings... AMD really need to get off their asses and bring us something new, hard to believe how lazy they've gotten.

this is a dumb comment. Is the card good? Yes. Is it priced well? Yes. Has it got modern features? Yes. Who care what it is (and it's not a 7950 anyway, since it's a GCN 1.2-based card). And anyway that's not how AMD has bene operating GPU wise ever. If you want a 'newer' architecture for whatever reason, by all means go grab a 960. It'll perform well today, in a couple of years probably not as much considering the precedents. It'll also probably save you around a pound a year on your electricity bill.

Windows 10 wireless Xbox one adapter will not connect drivers or manual install. I seem to get a black and white screen when I change font size and won't go away unless I use a system restore point. Also lots and lots of my games won't work for example black ops 2 , Rome 2 , shogun 2, trials HD, Tropico 4. These are games that are only a few years old but will play very old games perfectly like original shogun and Rome and even original xcom and theme hospital. It gets even stranger that some games will work on friends Windows 10 and others won't when my will play.
It's not gpu related as we all have nvidia and amd.
Sad to say but until they fix Windows 10 then it will always be poo to me.

Had driver issues on Windows 10 before RTM but was sorted right before the release. It's been as stable as anything.
If it is so stable then why can't it find a device that is designed for Windows 10 by the same company Microsoft. Seriously when a company can't find it's very own made device how can it be stable ?
I really want to like Windows 10 but it's just a broken mess and if u google it there are heaps of people having issues. Maybe it dosnt like overclocked skylake and 32gb of ddr4. Or maybe just maybe it's amd's fault with there drivers

Defiantly don't want Intel buying amd as it will then be a complete one horse race with the cpu's and look how it has stalled with very small competition. Now imagine it with none :disappointed:

There was never any appetite. The i740 promised much but was way behind and crap when it came out, they then designed a top end card, but scrapped it. They're probably the only company in the world who could get a top end card capable of challenging AMD/Nvidia within 4-5 years but would cost billions in a market that isnt growing. Think they're doing alright squeezing more power each generation in their built in gpu chips, 5th and 6th gen batter anything AMD made and have planned for next 24 months. The 64w skylake CPU performance per watt is superb.

Unfortunately both NVIDIA/ AMD have been making money with old cards for years. Look how well the GTX770 did and thats a GTX680 overclocked with higher boost and slightly faster memory :/
The R9 380 is a rebrand of the R9 285. Its actually the newest 1.2 GCN architecture card from AMD and is probably the best value for money in terms of price/ performance/ features in this £150 price bracket.
I do agree on the wider point about rebrands. I understand that advancements all but stalled from NVIDIA/ AMD with the failure of the 20nm manufacturing process. That said I don't think its fair for NVIDIA/ AMD to be rebranding as many cards as they have done in recent years. Just causes confusion and a annoyance from customers when the learn they have an old card with new numbers.

I've also had very few issues with amd radeon over the years. They are nearly always the best value as well.
Having said that I also went to nvidia this gen due to a similar bargain on a 980ti.

I had AMD cards for 3 generations not a single driver issue and I played all the latest games. This gen i got a GTX 970 as i wanted something for my mini itx case and i got an amazing deal using the ebay 30% off code. Had so many driver issues during the windows 10 upgrade and ton of problems playing fallout 4 whilst my friend who has my previous GPU's had no issues when playing fallout 4 and his PC is nearly identical to mine so not sure why people say Nvidia has better driver support as even with the fallout 4 launch driver i had issues whilst my old graphics cards in crossfire i may add had none with an old profile.
