Not sure if the TV is "good" but the price is hot, it was £550 on Black Friday

Big screen TV for little money.
Basic but big, can't really describe it any another way

...true, and no wifi (you need to buy a dongle)
Also found this ...
In terms of picture quality, the Samsung J5200 looks about the same as the pricier Samsung J5500. The main differences are the cheaper bezel and the fact that it has fewer inputs. It has good picture quality for movies, but it has a bit too much motion blur to be great for gaming or sports. Colors also wash out at an angle

would go for this if it had built in wifi, how would you go about adding wifi and would it cost much? seems strange to be smart but no wifi with tv.

We'll let me go back in time a year then. What a stupid comment.

it's surely not a stupid comment but it certainly tells me what is the tv worth and value now if it's this price was this a year ago, doesn't mean you have to buy now at that price as long as you are happy you can pay your price now even more than £499 may be.
what a stupid people are on this site with a big load.

Woah, look at the massive bezel on it... Samsung are so boringly plain. Good price though, factor in a soundbar as usual with all Samsung TVs.

This looks like a good deal. It's just a pity it can't run Mobdro on its Tizen OS otherwise I'd have been all over this. And, yes, the Samsung sound quality is not great, but at this price you could afford to add a sound bar or external speakers.

Don't think it has Ethernet or Wi Fi so you need to spend More money on adapters.
Worth checking the Whatisbest website and others to see what is missing from specs.
Would have been a much better deal if Richer Sounds sold it .

The spec says it has Ethernet. Tempted to buy this, would seal the deal if I could get a price match with JL/RS for a 5 year guarantee

Just picked this up and i seem to have got a newer vesion possibly, (SERIES 5, 5200 CLASS) as the stand on mine is different to the currys/hot deal image. on mine it has a centre sand as opposed to 2 feet either end, also mine has an ethernet port so no need for me to buy a seperate wifi dongle, got the smart aps up and running, it also included a free BT broardband extender 500 kit.

I believe this was built for European countries outside the UK as reviews are scarce and mainly on non English based sites. Only 2 HDMI slots and if you need wifi there is only one USB slot.
Just a large screen cheap TV lacking in modern functions
Also mine has 2 usb and 2 hdmi sockets assuming you get the newer model i got in my local currys, bargain for £499

They never used my reservation number, they had several samsung 58inch models boxed on the shop floor. the sticker price said £610 including sound bar, but they decided that was the £499 model that was the online offer without sound bar, but when they made the sale there computer told them to still include the bt broardband extension kit.
