Had been looking out for a 6300 for a family member when I noticed the 6400 (which is 4K and comes with Freeview HD)
I bought a TV from PRC Direct via Rakuten before Christmas using the same combination of codes, cashback and points and it worked out very well. They were very quick to post out (and I live in Northern Ireland) though some people have had problems getting through to them at that time.
This TV gets great reviews and is £599 in most other places like Currys. When you take into account 6% quidco (around £25) and £28 in points, this brings it to below £500.
Remember when comparing this is the JU (not the H) and its 48", not 40"
where are the professional reviews for this tv? I am concerned about motion blur and any voice sync issues.

Fantastic TV. Bought mine from Richer Sounds for 599 with the 6 year warranty. I still don't think I'd go for this as the warranties from RS/JL are invaluable. I only bought mine as my 3 and a half year old Sony broke down and I got my money back through warranty.

Don't they give you the points 16 days after the item is delivered in case you return it?

Yes you have to wait a couple of weeks for the points. I bought a TV from Rakuten/Hughes just before xmas in a similar deal with no problems and it was an unbeatable bargain. I was put off PRC because a lot of reviews talk of delivery issues.

be weary of motion blur. I've got the 6550 model. Even sticking the TV in sport mode isn't a perfect fix.

I am having problems finding a list of specs to easily compare. Amazon mentions that the 6000 uses mpeg4 tuner technology and the 6400 uses DVB-S2 (HD) (!'ve no idea which is better)

The last Samsung I saw had the stand of a 6000 and its really horrible. Can't see that the 6400 one could be any worse.
I doubt theres a 5 year warranty
