SAMSUNG ecobubble™ WF90F5E5U4X Washing Machine - Graphite, 9 kg, 1400 rpm, Five-year manufacturer’s guarantee, 10 year warranty on inverter motor, Currys, £399, or possibly £359 after Quidco's 10% cashback on Samsung large appliances.
Tesco also sell Currys gift cards so you can get the equivalent of £12 back in Clubcard points too on the £400 spend on Currys gift cards, which may be doubled up etc to get even more back. May also use a cashback credit card to purchase the gift cards from Tesco, e.g. Santander 123 credit card gives 1% back on supermarket purchases. Other cashback credit cards may earn more than this and there may also be incentives on some people's accounts. Could work out at £307 or less if cashback tracks, Clubcard points are quadrupled, and a cashback credit card is used at Tesco for the gift cards.
Hope this helps someone.

It's called yo-yo pricing. It enables them to reduce it again and say "was £600" so everyone buys it without thinking that maybe it isn't worth that. DFS anyone?

Ha, fair dos. Just FYI, keep your eye on LG machine prices over the next 6 months, currys rep told me last time the LG was on sale was back in the summer so you might have to wait a while before being able to get it at a decent price when needed...

Genuine question.
has anyone ever gone from something like the cheapo free wirlepool machine you get in new build houses to something like this?
interested to know if a decent machine really is better. the big issues I have with mine are it's only 5kg and seems to make as much blnoisr as a small plane taking off.
especially with cardboard walls that's quite an issue.
but would like to know people's thoughts?

I just bought this and it's super quiet. You can't even hear the drum rotating while washing, it's only the water sloshing around that's audible. At full speed spin it's shocking quiet too, especially when on level ground. Compared to a 5kg hotpoint machine from 25 years ago, this is only slightly bigger, but if yours is a modern 5kg machine I expect you to find it miles bigger (which is okay, it has sensors and knows if you've only got a half/quarter/three quarters load in it).
If you want to buy this, get it. But actually don't - the more expensive LG just went on sale for 349 down from 549 - that's got a motor attached directly to the drum and is even quieter than this. Plus it's got a longer warranty on the motor. Miele is the rolls royce of machines these days, then come the LG (very) closely followed by Samsung. The rest are made to break.

Took the one I bought on Boxing Day back, got a replacement and it's absolutely silent now. Brilliant upgrade to my previous washing machine. This is so quiet, smooth and the clothes come out much drier than before. Also it seems that the clothes are softer, don't know how the hell that works!

Voucher code 30LKA £30 off orders over £399 before 1/1/2016. Not sure if quidco cashback will track as well as the code but the the £30 off worked for me.

So tempted by this but would have to be white as Samsung don't do the same colour of drier.
I much prefer grey appliances but I also like them to match!

Quidco says 10% for large Samsung appliances so it could apply to this but it's not certain.
Was tempted but really off-putting to read about the knocking as we have that on an LG machine.

Just picked mine up and it's knocking at Max spin! Removed the transit bolts (all three), levelled it and not touching anything. Any experience of this anybody? Any ideas?

Sorry Yoshiiii, you need to read further down the list of Quidco rates for Curry's - washing machines (specifically) only attract a 2.5% rate… (not 10%) - - still, a tenner is better than nowt! :-)
