Why are so many Argos deals 'HUKD picks'? Are they paying HUKD for the privilege? If so, it seems a bit off. Especially when you consider just how few stores this deal is available in.
This site has flirted for some time between community and commercialism and promoting sponsored deals over others and clogging up the homepage with them would be a very bad idea IMO.

Not a Smart TV... see that as a good thing, the smart bits go out of date before your credit card bill arrives.
Always use a sub £100 disposable smart box or dongle like Roku, Amazon stick etc.

Perfect, mine has literally died over night.
Not too fussed on specs but this is actually pretty much the cheapest 40" I can find.
Just reserved one now but there are 2 more left at Banbury on the shopping centre by Tescos.
Witney and Abingdon also have stock but sure how many.
Found one in stock near me but not really sure TV is that good? My current 37" Samsung has 3 x HDMI slots and this one on offer only has 2. Is not a Smart TV either.
£330, with 4 x HDMI ports + 3D TV + Smart TV. Is £400 at Tesco and £365 at Amazon. Can get delivered via Argos for £3.95, or pick up in store if your lucky.
Its now in my possession.
Just to set it up and get down to some Fools and Horses.
Really impressed with the size or lack of, looking at my old thing I didn't see how it could be the same size but actually the screens are pretty much the same just the rest of its much smaller.

Just bought the Samsung 40H6200 40 Inch Full HD Freeview HD 3D Smart TV from Argos for £330. The more I looked at it the more I liked and best price around. 1.5% QUIDCO cashback too, okay thats only about £5 but every little helps. With 4 x HDMI ports I won't be faffing around looking for cheap HDMI adapter equipment either.
Worth a look if you don't mind spending a bit more, for a better equipped and technically better Samsung TV.

Reality check....Sorry but you need to wake up....HUKD is nothing but a commercial site, retailers pay to use it and if they don't they are 'banned', it's all about the links and members keeping cookies to make even more, greed makes sly normal, there is no 'community' here just a collection of mugs who fall for the 'tricks' that they use and they rely on stupid, which if you look around there's a lot of it here and long term users who 'think' they are great and 'own' the site when they are just pawns in the HUKD game, it doesn't care what you think or do really as you just need to look at the way people behave and are allowed to get away with it, all they care about is people clicking links.

I wasn't suggesting they're as good. The person I was replying to said specs weren't important, they were looking for the cheapest 40", so I showed a way to save £40. Isn't that what this site's about?

Notice I did say 'about' rather than "the cheapest". Had there been hundreds of pounds in it then it would of been different.
Was certainly an element of brand snobbery in there also but the fact I can nip to Argos and be home within 30 minutes with pretty much zero hassle was definitely a defining factor here, its sunday hours also. I needed a tv today as Eastenders is on in a bit and I risk losing my ganglies if a tv is not in place for that;) and Argos really do make things very easy. I could of looked around town etc but it would of likely ruined my day what with me being such a huge fan of smelly shops and an even bigger one of parking in multi stories and paying for the honour.

How do they get away with it for so many years now. Advertise amazing nationwide offer, which in reality they only have 5 units of to sell, and reap the benefits of all that free publicity it generates (i.e. HUKD!).
Where are Trading Standards when it comes to Argos? They must meet Argos in a dark car park on a monthly basis and leave with a nice heavy brown envelope, because I can't understand why a blind eye is being turned otherwise.

Amazon got "binned off" for precisely the reason you're complaining about. They were apparently self promoting. I'm sure if Argos are found to be doing the same they'll spend some time in the cooler too.
It could of course be that Argos constantly have reduced prices (probably because their catalog prices are inflated for most items), sell a wide range of items and a lot of people spend time browsing... Just a thought.
Although any decent Argos deals are indeed in-store collection only and low stock in a small number of branches as they clear out old crap from their local store rooms (like most Currys/PCWorld deals actually).
