buy half a size bigger than you normally wear in hiking boots ... The hard protective toecap and steep descents can lead to loss of big toenails .... excellent boots and price

Great price. Do remember though that Salomon footwear tends to come up narrower than many other brands.
(only an issue if you feet are fat flippers like mine!!)

I saw these last week but read the review of the company and ran a mile, bought a pair of Salewa Mountain Trainer GTX Mid from Blacks instead for £80 delivered reduced from £150. They replaced a fantastic pair of Hanwags but I couldn't stomach the cost of new HWs. Blacks have pulled the Salewas from their website within the last week but try the stores, they are a better boot than the Solomons and Blacks have a much better reputation.

Nice boots. I've had Salomon's for 10+ years now. Comfortable, well designed. Had a few problems with sole splitting from boot base/upper on two pairs. I've just moved to Asolo boots, slightly narrower fit, and build quality looks a little better, if not as stylish... time will tell on how they perform.
