Russell Hobbs make great appliances but this set is so bad and not even worth £9.99.

I left a positive comment somewhere about this set..... I would like to retract it... lol... under light use this knife set is no more.... the scissors broke in half while cutting some grease proof paper.... handle sides came off the blades a while back.... in comparison to the likes of the shops own knife block set for a fiver this is the same but twice the price.... medal is crap too - blunts quickly and needs constant sharpening (again - light use), not worth a tenner.

I got these a couple of months ago, only the steak knifes are really even usable, terrible quality.

dishwasher usually cause of rust - you need to dry with tea towel after cycle finishes or they will rust

For reference they were hand washed and then dried with a tea towel, they still rusted very quickly.
To reiterate, I've never had any other cutlery before or since then that's rusted.
I think I originally purchased these in Morrisons in approx. 2010-2011

we are not arguing the toss over who makes what or where it's made,or what factory in china can do double standards, or who retails it, or what grade stainless it is...or otherwise
if you want to buy these or defend the rust factor go ahead - do you not believe cheap stainless goes rusty?
Sheffield Steel is the best and always has been .

i live perfectly well without one.
baring in mind that the 'premium' stuff is often built in the same factory as the 'cheap' stuff, your point is irrelevant. how is a stainless steel knife made by RH any different dependent on if it is made in China or in the UK.
how else do you think they can sell stuff this cheap?

almost all electronics are made in China so your point is irrelevant.

how can you compare cheap nasty stainless knifes with iphone, china makes good items yes and also makes substandard useless junk like these
iphone, that's another subject... ever wondered what life would be like without one?

Is it Chinese made and rusts ...?
Surprising as the Chinese make iPhones and they don't rust

Keep your receipt if you get this set. I had this exact set a couple of years back and it started rusting within a month (I have no idea how???)

I've said this before, had this set for about 2 years now, cost about £8, exact same set.... Knives are decent, that sabre sharpener is rubbish.... for under £10 this is definitely worth it, miles better the stores own brand knife block sets and about the same price.... So HOT from me
On another note though, R.H Kettles must be avoided they are utter rubbish.

I got these from B&M less than a year ago, to be honest, the wood block is better made the knives. Too good to be true. A few handles already broke and not from misuse.

We bought this a few months ago and still going strong, just needed something cheap to get us started in our new place and this more than good enough, not had any problems with it!
