Just log onto his account on your ps4 and set it as primary, then log back into your account on the ps4 and you will be able to play it.

I've got a friend with a Canadian psn account. He bought it, I added his account to my ps4 and downloaded but it's locked to his account, I.e. It won't let me play it on my UK account. Anyone else had this?

Sorry for being a bit thick...so I made a canadian psn account. I tried purchasing Project Cars direct from the store but when I entered my 'canadian address,' it told me it wasn't valid. So I'm imagining I must buy a psn gift card from amazon UK???

Yeah, I upgraded mine to 2TB drive for around £53 I paid for this reason, so plenty of reason.
But same as you, only of good price, that's why I got US and Canadian account too.
But price has to be right. Though too many games and not enough time as I'm a sucker for a deal on this site.

Is it just me?
But for some reason I prefer buying digital games.
The reason being that I never end up trading in my games anyhow.
Plus it takes up less room
My laser lasts longer
But main reason.....being a bit lazy.....just so much more convenient being able to hop in and out of games in my library without having to get up and swap discs

It's not just you, but I will only buy digital if it's a very good saving, also you might be saving room BUT you will need a huge hardrive a some point unless you aren't bothered about re-downloading files that can be 35gb plus

Sorry, I think I'm being a bit thick. I have previously bought Xbox One games from a different region (but was just a case of changing the region).
Am I right in saying that for this you need to create a totally different PSN account (but Canadian) and then by logging into the PS4 with the Canadian account, then changing back to UK, I can then play the Candian games? Ta

Was wondering, some games such as saints row re-elected and metro redux come with dlc included. i have read dlc won't work on another account even though activated as primary ps4, only base game will. Is this same if it is included such as the mentioned games or is it only if dlc is purchased seperate. i.e . will the saints row re-elected and gat out of hell bundled together fully work with dlc on uk account.
BuzzDuraband
13 Jan 16#44
Well yeah  Because it will have been purchased from the same region.
DROiD90
13 Jan 16#43
Thanks for reply. That half answers the question. however, the dlc's for metro redux on canada store and gat out of hell i think come bundled or integrated with the game and not seperate. so if i purchased either of these will all content work on my uk account since dlc is together with game and not bought seperate. thanks.

DLC isn't cross region. You need to own DLC for the game from the same region the base game was purchased.
For example, I have Star Wars Battlefront on my US PSN account (which I play on my UK account), however, if I wish to purchase say, the season pass. I will have to do so from the US PSN store and redeem it to my US PSN account.
I hope that answers your question

This is what kinda **** me off with both Sony and MS (I know they're just 2 out of many that do it), but they seem incapable of converting those sort of prices into £'s, so we don't need to go trawling through Canadian, US etc stores. I get we pay VAT and whatnot and some states charge tax after the transaction, but even with all that on top, the conversion rates are still hugely out of sync. I suppose they've moved on from the days when $199 used to equal £199 in their eyes, but it's still a poor show.

you can also just buy these straight off amazon in the region of choice. That's what I did for the recent usa deals. No need to get extra credit you aren't using that way. I assume they have a Canadian amazon digital store. Not sure how sales tax works in Canada either, for usa you have to enter an address exempt from sales tax.
edit: just noticed the link in buzz's post already explained that, ignore me.

Would totally disagree with that assessment of Project Cars, I quite often pick up and play it, especially the Lotus dlc that came out recently, and I use a controller all the time. There were some issues initially with driving in a straight line, but these have been resolved and you can find plenty of info regarding setup just by Googling it. Great game for this sort of money it's well worth a try.
malnuman
12 Jan 16#28
thanks for that, read your post and all the rest on there, think I will pass on this, using the controller seem to let it down.. i will save my tenner towards a game i really want in future sales..

You have it all wrong it's not a site about deals in the uk it more a site about FINDING deals for people in n the UK. Also a very childish reason to vote cold as its not a bad deal, granted you don't like it personally but that's not reason too down vote , just don't vote either way
