It's the newer model. More power efficient and less noisy than the previous model.

Hopefully but as it stands the console can't output above 1080p so I don't know how they would implement it. 4k movie mode perhaps.

Not likely as the PS4 drive is only capable of playing traditional blu-ray discs. There is possibility of a PS4 v2 which is being considered. More here.

as far as i know the 1216 is c chassis so maybe the b mans second edition of c chassis version. mine is jet black

Sounds like you have a B chassis. C chassis are matte black.

I can confirm that mine is the newer C-Chassis: It's very quiet, has a non-glossy finish and tactile front buttons instead of the touch-sensitive ones of the older model.
