I travel a lot. It's worth getting the best possible bag you can afford. But if you're spending quite a few grand on a world trip, you can afford to.pay for a comfortable pack.

Why do people insist on wearing camo if they're not: A. In the military; b. A deer hunter?
Particularly in a retail park, where it just doesn't work...

You don't have to be in the military or a deerhunter to wear camo - sometimes its good to keep a low profile or blend in.

False. I actually did go abroad and was lucky enough to be able to switch this bag out with a friend at the last minute for a proper bag. This bag does not compare with a premium priced bag. It is seriously uncomfortable, has very little structural support, and will cut into your shoulders. For serious travel you want a bag like one of these http://www.millets.co.uk/walking-hiking/rucksacks-daysacks/rucksacks/ which are actually on sale at the moment...
This pro-action bag would be suitable for if you needed to take your clothes to the launderette or travel in a way that results in you not really needing to put the bag on your back... like car>train>plane>car>hotel.
