I accept that, they tend to move on to the next iteration as it is published, but at the time the cheating was doing my head in and realised that a game can actually be bad for you. I was so irked by it that I threw it away and have never played COD since and I game a lot.

COD is in decline due to those hackers. So many people did it that if Infinity Ward banned it they would have lost a large part of their revenue. Better for them to have us all buy it and have honest people complain than fix it. MW 2 was my last and will never buy again.

Playing on the ps3 the game searches for lobbies and I get games where for every 10 lobbies I am on, at least one is hacked, and it's a bit more likely to get on a hacked lobby playing late at night compared to around 3pm. It's not as bad as people here are making it out to be.

There are games without hackers, but sometimes hacked games are fun and full of lol moments. Crazy things happen in hacked games such as superjumps, jumping which instantly kills when you land, inflated players, super fast players etc.

I still play it on PC and it's generally hacker free. Shame i can't play it on the 360 with my Xbox friends though.

Would absolutely love a next gen reboot of this. There was a huge petition to with thousands of signatures if i remember. Only problem for me was the damn quick scopers!

The campaign in MW2 was great aswell, ending with one of the best endings in an FPS campaign (the infamous knife throw)

Think modern warfare was the best. Kill streaks were just a small reward so you had to pull your finger out. More skill I thought as you didn't have loads of gadgets and perks.

To be honest when I said "sometimes hacked games are fun and full of lol moments" (the key word being "sometimes") I meant that very loosely. Most of the time games are hacked by douches using aimbots and performing fluke kills. Some hackers can mess up players cod levels, perks, unlocked guns and prestiges, and can mess up the game itself (it once happened to a friend who afterwards was seriously **** having gained 53 prestige level).

I played COD for what it was, an online FPS, fast paced and adrenaline rushes. Once all the hacking nonsense came I never played it again. Superjumps? Sounds as lame as playing GTA and have the car 'superjump' at will. There's a reason we have genres. If you want a sandbox free to do whatever then sure that will be fun for those people, but those people should just play games made for those things. Hackers just ruin the experience for those who want to play the game how it's MEANT TO BE PLAYED.
